Mariya Sokova
Mariya Sokova (russian: Мария Сокова; born 2 September 1970) is a Russian-Uzbekistani triple jumper. She originally represented Russia. She finished fifth at the 1995 World Indoor Championships. Her personal best jump was 14.50 metres, achieved in June 1999 in Moscow. She had 14.54 metres on the indoor track, achieved in February 1995 in Volgograd. Triple Jump
The triple jump, sometimes referred to as the hop, step and jump or the hop, skip and jump, is a track and field event, similar to the long jump. As a group, the two events are referred to as the "horizontal jumps". The competitor runs down the track and performs a hop, a bound and then a jump into the sand pit. Vasiliy Sokov
Vasiliy Dmitryevich Sokov (russian: Василий Дмитриевич Соков; born 7 April 1968 in Dushanbe, Tajik SSR) is a triple jumper who represented the USSR and later Russia. He is best known for his two bronze medals at the European Indoor Championships. His personal best was 17.59 metres, achieved in June 1993 in Moscow. His wife, Mariya Sokova, is also an athlete. Sokov represented Uzbekistan at the 2001 World Championships in Athletics. 2015 World Masters Athletics Championships
2015 World Masters Athletics Championships is the 21st in a series of World Masters Athletics Outdoor Championships that took place in Lyon, France from 4 to 16 August 2015. This was the last odd year of the biennial Championships; beginning in 2016, the Championships will be held in even-numbered years. The change was made to avoid conflict with the quadrennial World Masters Games, which had been held in odd-numbered years since 2005. The main venue was Stade de Balmont (Stade de La Duchère).
