Marine Serre
Marine Serre (born December 13, 1991) is a French fashion designer who won the 2017 LVMH Prize for Young Fashion Designers. Early life Serre was born in Brive-la-Gaillarde nearby Corrèze, France. She studied in Marseille and after two years she moved to Belgium, to attend La Cambre, from where she graduated with high honours in 2016. Career Serre's graduation show "Radical Call For Love" in 2016 sparked the interest of international stores such as The Broken Arm and Dover Street Market. This collection debuted the crescent moon motif that has become a signature for her brand. After graduating from La Cambre, she held internships working under Sarah Burton at Alexander McQueen, Matthieu Blazy at Maison Margiela and Raf Simons at Dior. Brive-la-Gaillarde
Brive-la-Gaillarde (; Limousin dialect of oc, Briva la Galharda) is a commune of France. It is a sub-prefecture and the largest city of the Corrèze department. It has around 46,000 inhabitants, while the population of the agglomeration was 75,579 in 2019. Although it is by far the biggest commune in Corrèze, the capital is Tulle. In French popular culture, the town is associated with a song by Georges Brassens. History Even though the inhabitants settled around the 1st century, the city only started to grow much later. L'École nationale supérieure des arts visuels de La Cambre (ENSAV), more known as La Cambre, is a renowned visual arts school founded by Henry van de Velde in Brussels in 1926. It was founded as the ''Institut supérieur des Arts décoratifs'' (''Hoger Instituut voor Decoratieve Kunsten''), and became known as "La Cambre" after the Abbey of la Cambre/Ter Kameren in which premises it was established.
