Mariana Sîrbu (born in Iaşi, Romania) is a Romanian violinist. Biography Sîrbu started playing the violin under the supervision of her parents. She then studied with Ştefan Gheorghiu (violinist), Ştefan Gheorghiu at the "Ciprian Porumbescu" National University of Music Bucharest in Bucharest. She became internationally recognized when she began her concert career. Maria-Anastasia (Mariana) Efstratiou ( el, Μαριάνα Ευστρατίου) (born 17 April 1955 in Athens) is a Greek singer, connected on several occasions with the Eurovision Song Contest. Juan de Mariana, , also known as Father Mariana (25 September 1536 – 17 February 1624), was a Spanish Jesuit priest, Scholastic, historian, and member of the Monarchomachs.
