Margit Hall
Margit Dagmar Hall (19 July 1901, St Petersburg — 30 May 1937, Bispgården) was a Swedish architect. She was the first woman to take the architect examination at Chalmers Technical Institute in Gothenburg and the first woman in Sweden to graduate in architecture as an ordinary student. Biography The daughter of the engineer Harald Hall and Maria Rodd, Hall grew up in a family of four children in St Petersburg, Russia. She later moved to Gothenburg where she matriculated from the ''Gymnasium för flickor'' (girls high school) in 1919. After an internship in Hans Hedlund's studio, she studied architecture at Chalmers, taking the architecture examination in 1922. She went on to study history of art under Axel Romdahl until 1925. While at Chalmers, she provided support for female students, becoming secretary for ''Göteborgs Kvinnliga Studentförenging'' (Gothenburg's Women Student's Association). Axel Romdahl
Axel Ludvig Romdahl (18 March 1880 – 14 May 1951) was a Swedish art historian and museum curator. Biography Axel Ludvig, known as Ludde, was the son of P.A.C. Romdahl and Clara Theresia Brogren. He married Gudrun Biller in 1906 in Stockholm. He took his bachelor's degree in Uppsala in 1900, and his doctorate in 1905. He began work at Sweden's National Museum in Stockholm in 1903, and at the Nordic Museum in 1904. He moved to Gothenburg in April 1906, becoming curator of Gothenburg's Art Museum and a lecturer in Gothenburg's High School; in 1920 he became a professor there. Ragunda Municipality
Ragunda Municipality ( ) is a municipality in Jämtland County in northern Sweden. Its seat is in Hammarstrand. The present municipality was formed in 1974, when "old" Ragunda Municipality was amalgamated with the municipalities of Fors and Stugun. Further amalgamations have been discussed due to declining population, but have not been carried out. Ragunda Municipality is known for being the site of the King Chulalongkorn Memorial Building, which is by the village Utanede. Designed as a Thai royal pavilion, the only one of its kind outside Thailand, it was raised in 1997 in commemoration of King Chulalongkorn's visit there a century earlier.
