Margarita Nazarova (artist)
Margarita Petrovna Nazarova (russian: Маргарита Петровна Назарова; November 26, 1926 in Pushkin – October 26, 2005 in Nizhny Novgorod) was a Russian circus performer best known for her leading role in the 1961 comedy ''Striped Trip''. Pushkin, Saint Petersburg
Pushkin (russian: Пу́шкин) is a municipal town in Pushkinsky District of the federal city of St. Petersburg, Russia, located south from the center of St. Petersburg proper, and its railway station, Tsarskoye Selo, is directly connected by railway to the Vitebsky Rail Terminal of the city. Population: Pushkin was founded in 1710 as an imperial residence named Tsarskoye Selo (russian: Ца́рское Село́, "Tsar's Village") and received status of a town in 1808. The first public railways in Russia, Tsarskoye Selo Railways, were opened here in 1837 and connected the town to the capital, St. Petersburg. After the October Revolution, the town was renamed to Detskoye Selo (russian: Де́тское Село́, "Children's Village"). ''Striped Trip'' (russian: Полосатый рейс, Polosatyi reys) is a 1961 Soviet comedy film directed by Vladimir Fetin, with the acclaimed tiger tamer Margarita Nazarova in the main role. Plot To escape from a hot tropical place Shuleykin (Yevgeny Leonov) accepts a position on a ship looking after a cargo of twelve cages with tigers. People's Artist of the USSR ( rus, Народный артист СССР, Narodny artist SSSR), also sometimes translated as National Artist of the USSR, was an honorary title granted to artists of the Soviet Union. Nomenclature and significance The term is confusingly used to translate two Russian language titles: Народный артист СССР (fem. Народная артистка СССР), awarded in performing arts and Народный художник СССР, granted in some visual arts. Each Soviet Republic, as well as the Autonomous Republics (ASSRs), had a similar award held previously by virtually every receiver of the higher title of People's Artist of the USSR.
