Margaret Ngoche
Margaret Ngoche or Margaret Banja (born 2 November 1981) is a Kenyan cricketer and a former captain of the Kenya women's cricket team. Several members of Ngoche's family have played for the Kenyan team, including her brothers Lameck Onyango, Nehemiah Odhiambo, Shem Ngoche and James Ngoche, and her sister Mary Bele. Prior to playing cricket, Ngoche also played football for two years. Ngoche was part of the Africa squad for the women's edition of the 2007 Afro-Asia Cup in India, and Kenya's team for the UAE International Women's T20 tournament, which took place in 2016. In April 2019, Ngoche was named in Kenya's squad for their first ever Women's Twenty20 International (WT20I) matches, in the 2019 Victoria Tri-Series in Uganda. Nairobi
Nairobi ( ) is the capital and largest city of Kenya. 2022 Commonwealth Games Cricket Qualifier
The 2022 Commonwealth Games Qualifier was a cricket tournament played in Malaysia in January 2022. Five national teams competed for one place in the cricket tournament at the 2022 Commonwealth Games, in Birmingham, England, in July to August 2022. Matches in the qualification tournament were played as Women's Twenty20 Internationals (WT20Is). In November 2020, the ICC announced the qualification process for the 2022 Commonwealth Games tournament. England automatically qualified as the hosts, and were joined by the six highest ranked sides as of 1 April 2021. The final place was decided by the Commonwealth Games Qualifier tournament. Sri Lanka and Bangladesh both won their first three matches to set up a winner-takes-all contest on the last day of the event. Rwanda Cricket Association is the official governing body of cricket sports in Rwanda. Its current headquarters is located in kicukiro district in Kigali city . Rwanda Cricket Association is Rwanda's representative at the International Cricket Council and is an associate member and has been a member of that body since 2003. 2021 Kwibuka Women's T20 Tournament
The 2021 Kwibuka Women's T20 Tournament was a women's Twenty20 International, women's T20I cricket (WT20I) tournament held in Rwanda from 6 to 12 June 2021. This was the seventh edition of the annual Kwibuka T20 Tournament, first organised 2014 in remembrance of the victims of the 1994 Rwandan genocide, genocide against the Tutsi. All matches were played at the Rwanda Cricket Stadium, Gahanga International Cricket Stadium in Kigali. Sierra Leone Women's National Cricket Team
The Sierra Leone women's national cricket team represents the country of Sierra Leone in international women's cricket. In 2011 Sierra Leone was invited to the Africa Twenty20 Women's Tournament held in Uganda. The team participated in the inaugural 2015 North West Africa Cricket Council (NWACC) women's tournament held in The Gambia. The team finished undefeated at the tournament ahead of Gambia, Ghana and Mali. In April 2018, the International Cricket Council (ICC) granted full Women's Twenty20 International (WT20I) status to all its members. 2019 ICC Women's Qualifier Africa
The 2019 ICC Women's Qualifier Africa was a cricket tournament that was held in Zimbabwe in May 2019. The matches in the tournament were played as Women's Twenty20 Internationals (WT20Is), with the top team progressing to both the 2019 ICC Women's World Twenty20 Qualifier and the 2021 Women's Cricket World Cup Qualifier tournaments. Uganda won the previous Africa qualifier tournament, when it was held in Windhoek in 2017. The fixtures took place at Harare Sports Club, Old Hararians and Takashinga Cricket Club in Harare. The teams in the Qualifier are split into two groups, with the winner of each group progressing to the final on 12 May 2019. All the squads were confirmed on 1 May 2019. Lugogo Cricket Oval
Lugogo Stadium, also known as Lugogo Cricket Oval, is a cricket ground in Kampala, Uganda. The first recorded match held on the ground came in 1957 when Kenya Asians played Sunder Cricket Club. In that same year Uganda first used the ground when the national team played the Sunder Cricket Club. The ground held its inaugural first-class match when an East African Invitation XI played the touring Marylebone Cricket Club in 1963. A further first-class match followed in 1967 when a combined East Africa team played the touring Indians. The next first-class matches to be held on the ground didn't come until 2005, when Uganda played two matches there in the Intercontinental Cup against Kenya and Namibia. The Lugogo Stadium is the only cricket venue in Uganda to have held first-class cricket.
