Man On A Tightrope
''Man on a Tightrope'' is a 1953 American drama directed by Elia Kazan, starring Fredric March, Terry Moore and Gloria Grahame. The screenplay by Robert E. Sherwood was based on a 1952 novel of the same title by Neil Paterson. Paterson based his true story, which first appeared as the magazine novelette ''International Incident'', on the escape of the Circus Brumbach from East Germany in 1950. Members of the Circus Brumbach appeared in the film version in both character roles and as extras. The film was entered into the 3rd Berlin International Film Festival. Elia Kazan
Elias Kazantzoglou (, ; September 7, 1909 – September 28, 2003), known as Elia Kazan ( ), was a Greek-American film and theatre director, producer, screenwriter and actor, described by ''The New York Times'' as "one of the most honored and influential directors in Broadway theatre, Broadway and Cinema of the United States, Hollywood history". John Dehner
John Dehner (DAY-ner; born John Dehner Forkum; November 23, 1915February 4, 1992), also credited Dehner Forkum, was an American stage, radio, film, and television character actor. From the late 1930s to the late 1980s, he amassed a long list of performance credits, often in roles as sophisticated con men, shady authority figures, and other smooth-talking villains. Fred Patrick Henning (July 5, 1908 – April 28, 1973) was an American character actor, best known for playing Kayo Dugan in ''On The Waterfront'' (1954). Henning was born in Boston as one of the fourth generation of a theatrical family. He first appeared on stage in a baby carriage at the age of two months as part of a vaudeville show.
