Man Kam To Control Point
Man Kam To Control Point () is a border control point in Man Kam To, New Territories, Hong Kong, within the Closed Area on the border with China. It was the first vehicular clearance border crossing in Hong Kong. Its counterpart across the border is the Wenjindu Port, located within Luohu District, Shenzhen, Guangdong Province. Until 1985, when the Sha Tau Kok border crossing opened, Man Kam To Control Point was the only vehicular link between Hong Kong and China. History A new concrete bridge opened at Man Kam To in 1976, replacing an older wooden bridge spanning the Sham Chun River that had deteriorated since. A second concrete bridge, located slightly upriver, was completed in 1984. As part of the Sham Chun River training works, a new four-lane bridge was built in 2003. The Wenjindu Port is a land port of China on the Sham Chun River (Shenzhen River), in , Luohu, Shenzhen, Guangdong. Its counterpart on the opposite side of the border is the Man Kam To Control Point. North District, Hong Kong
North District () is the northernmost district of the 18 districts of Hong Kong. It is located in the northeastern part of the New Territories. Heung Yuen Wai Control Point
Heung Yuen Wai Control Point () is a land border control point at the border at Heung Yuen Wai in North District, New Territories, Hong Kong. Its counterpart across the border is Liantang Port ( in Shenzhen, Guangdong Province. The control point opened for freight trucks on 26 August 2020. Sham Chun River
The Sham Chun River, Shum Chum River, or Shenzhen River () serves as the natural border between Hong Kong and Mainland China, together with the Sha Tau Kok River, Mirs Bay and Deep Bay. It formed part of the limit of the lease of the New Territories in 1898 in the Convention for the Extension of Hong Kong Territory (known also as the Second Convention of Peking). It separates Yuen Long District, North District of Hong Kong, and the city of Shenzhen, Guangdong. Its source is at Wutong Mountain, Shenzhen. Its tributaries includes Ping Yuen River, Shek Sheung River, Sheung Yue River, Ng Tung River, Buji River and Tan Shan River. The Shenzhen Reservoir also flows into the river when it is full. Sha Tau Kok Control Point
Sha Tau Kok Control Point () is a land immigration control point of Hong Kong, located in Sha Tau Kok, North District, New Territories, Hong Kong, along the border between mainland China and Hong Kong. Opening Sha Tau Kok was the second cross-border road link between Hong Kong and mainland China, after Man Kam To Control Point. It was officially opened on 28 February 1985 by Zhen Xipui, deputy mayor of Shenzhen, and John Boyd, a Hong Kong government official. The crossing is open from 7am to 10pm. Luohu District
