Temerloh
Temerloh is a municipality in central Pahang, Malaysia. Temerloh has been proven to be the "centre of Peninsular Malaysia" (Malay: ) 3TS, which is situated at Kampung Paya Siput, Lanchang. Located about from Kuala Lumpur along the Kuantan–Kuala Lumpur trunk road, Temerloh is the second largest town in Pahang after Kuantan, the state capital. It is situated at the junction of the Pahang River and the Semantan River. Today, ''Temerloh'' usually refers to the territory under the administration of Temerloh Municipal Council which includes Mentakab, Lanchang, Kuala Krau and Kerdau. Teriang
Teriang, alt. Triang ( Jawi: ترياڠ) is a town and a mukim in Bera District, southwestern Pahang, Malaysia. It is the largest settlement in the district. Etymology Its name was derived from Sungai Teriang (Triang River), a tributary of the Pahang River, the longest river in Peninsula Malaysia. History Triang's history could be traced back to the mid to late 19th century. The population then consisted mainly of indigenous Malays, living on subsistence farming as well as fishing in the Triang River. Following the migration of Chinese to SE Asia, the first Chinese began to arrive in Triang around 1900. The Malaysian Centre of Remote Sensing (MACRES) was a Malaysian remote sensing centre. An agency under the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (Malaysia). Its role was to provide data and solutions for remote sensing applications. In 1991, it was recognised as a federal institute of research in the field of remote sensing and related technologies. Sultan Ahmad Shah Bridge
Sultan Ahmad Shah Bridge or Temerloh Bridge is the main bridge on Pahang River near Temerloh, Pahang, Malaysia. The 575 m bridge is located at Federal route Federal Route 2. History In 1971, the old Temerloh Bridge spanning across the Pahang River collapsed due to a massive flood in Temerloh. As a result, the Public Works Department (JKR) constructed a 575-m replacement bridge known as the Sultan Ahmad Shah Bridge FT2 beside the old bridge. The Sultan Ahmad Shah Bridge is much higher than the old bridge, forming the first grade-separated interchange in Pahang that links to the Federal Route 10. The new bridge also links to a new road that bypasses Temerloh and Mentakab townships, causing the former Temerloh-Mentakab section to be re-gazetted as the Federal Route 87. East Coast Expressway
The East Coast Expressway is an interstate controlled-access highway running parallel to the northeastern coast of Peninsular Malaysia. The currently operational segment of the expressway runs between Karak, Pahang and Kuala Nerus, Terengganu. The Pahang River ( ms, Sungai Pahang) is a river that flows through the state of Pahang, Malaysia. At 459 km in length, it is the longest river on the Malay Peninsula. The river begins at the confluence of Jelai and Tembeling rivers on the Titiwangsa Mountains and drains into the South China Sea. Bahau ( Jawi: بهااو, ) is the principal town of Jempol District, Negeri Sembilan, Malaysia. The town's name is believed to have been derived from a Chinese phrase. Bahau's literal translation is "horse's mouth" while the nearby town, Mahsan means "horse's body" in Cantonese.
