Magdalena Fularczyk
Magdalena Fularczyk-Kozłowska (Polish pronunciation: ; born 16 September 1986) is a Polish rower. She is the 2016 Olympic double sculls champion with rowing partner Natalia Madaj. From 2009 to 2012, she rowed with Julia Michalska. Career Fularczyk took up rowing after the persistent encouragement of one of her schoolteachers. At national level, she was initially coached by Martin Witkowski. Her first international success came at the 2002 Junior World Rowing Championships, where she and teammate Patrycja Pytel won the silver medal. With Kamila Socko, she won the bronze medal at the 2007 U-23 World Championships. At the 2008 European Championships, she and Natalia Madaj won the silver medal in the double sculls; it was Fularczyk's first senior medal. She then teamed up with Julia Michalska. Wąbrzeźno
Wąbrzeźno (german: Briesen) is a town in Poland, in the Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship, about northeast of Toruń. It is the capital of the Wąbrzeźno County. The population is 13,971 inhabitants (2004). History Along with Chełmno Land, the area was part of medieval Poland, since its establishment in the 10th century. Archaeologists have discovered medieval treasures, mostly from the 11th century, confirming medieval trade with the neighboring regions of Kuyavia and Prussia. At the beginning of the 13th century, a trade route developed that crossed over an isthmus between two large lakes, the Sicieńskie lake and the Zamkowe ("Castle lake"). A defensive wall was built at this spot, and later, a settlement was constructed there as well. Rowing is the act of propelling a human-powered watercraft using the sweeping motions of oars to displace water and generate reactional propulsion. Rowing is functionally similar to paddling, but rowing requires oars to be mechanically attached to the boat, and the rower drives the oar like a lever, exerting force in the ''same'' direction as the boat's travel; while paddles are completely hand-held and have no attachment to the boat, and are driven like a cantilever, exerting force ''opposite'' to the intended direction of the boat. Joanna Leszczyńska (; born 18 December 1988 in Warsaw) is a Polish rower. At the 2012 Summer Olympics, she competed in the women's quadruple sculls. She won bronze medal in quadruple sculls at the 2016 Summer Olympics, with Maria Springwald, Agnieszka Kobus and Monika Ciaciuch. That was also the team that won silver at the 2016 European Championships and bronze at the 2015 European Championships on home water in Poznan. Sylwia Lewandowska (born 4 January 1991 in Toruń) is a Polish rower. She is a World and Olympic medallist. At the 2012 Summer Olympics, she competed in the Women's quadruple sculls. Career Lewandowska was part of the Polish quadruple sculls team that won the silver medal at the 2011 European Rowing Championships, alongside Agnieszka Kobus, Karolina Gniadek and Natalia Madaj.
