Malawi Armed Forces College FC (MAFCO) is a Malawian football (soccer) club based in Salima, Central Region and currently playing in the TNM Super League, the top division of Malawian football. History MAFCO, return to top league in 2010 winning the ''Central Region Football League'' after four years in the second division. After three season finished at the bottom of the league table, struggling with relegation, ''the soldiers'', under the management of head coach Stereo Gondwe, clinched 3rd position in 2013 season and won the President Cup after beating Silver Strikers FC on the final. Nkhotakota
Nkhotakota (Un-kho-tah-kho-tuh) (formerly Kota Kota) (name derived from the Chichewa for "Corner Corner") is a town and one of the districts in the Central Region, Malawi, Central Region of Malawi. It is on the shore of Lake Malawi (formerly Lake Nyasa) and is one of the main ports on Lake Malawi. As of 2018, Nkhotakota had a population estimated at 28,350. Contested by 16 clubs, it operates on a system of promotion and relegation with the Malawi Regional Football Leagues. The Central Region of Malawi, population 7,523,340 (2018), covers an area of 35,592 km². Its capital city is Lilongwe, which is also the national capital. The 2013 TNM Super League was the 28th season of the Super League of Malawi, the top professional league for association football clubs in Malawi since its establishment in 1986. It started on 27 April 2013 and was scheduled to conclude on 28 December 2013, but officially ended on 18 February 2014. Silver Strikers were the defending champions. The match from the last round between Mighty Wanderers and Silver Strikers was interrupted due to the violence of their supporters. Silver Strikers Football Club is a Malawian professional football club based in Lilongwe, currently playing in the TNM Super League, the top division of Malawian football. The club was founded in 1977 as a social team for Reserve Bank of Malawi staff members. hence the nickname ''the bankers''.
