Madi Banja (born 1 January 1986), is a R&B/rap artist from Stockholm, Sweden, rapping in Swedish. Born and raised in Serekunda, Gambia, Madi moved to Enskededalen, Stockholm when he was 13 years old where he met Grammis winning producer Vittorio Grasso. It took Madi many years later until he started with music. In 2014 he was featured on Ison & Fille Ison and Fille more commonly Ison & Fille is a Swedish hip hop duo consisting of Ison Glasgow ("Ison") and Felipe Leiva Wenger ("Fille"). The two met in 1994 in JKS basketball club in Bredäng, Sweden. Their initial songs were included in a 200 ...'s platinum selling single "Länge leve vi". Serekunda (proper: Sayerr Kunda or Sere Kunda, ar, سيريكوندا, sometimes spelled Serrekunda) is the largest urban centre in The Gambia. Grammis
The Grammis are music awards presented annually to musicians and songwriters in Sweden. The oldest Swedish music awards, they were instituted as a local equivalent of the Grammy Awards given in the United States. The awards ceremony is generally held each year in February in Stockholm.
