Macdonald Ngwa Niba (born 8 August 1994) is a Cameroonian professional footballer who plays as a centre-back for Canadian club Atlético Ottawa. Early life In his native Cameroon, Niba attended the University of Buea, where he played for the school's football team, being named the team's best player in the 2013-14 season, and also played for Cinyodev FC. Club career North Toronto Nitros In 2016 season, he played for the North Toronto Nitros in the Canadian third tier League1 Ontario, making his debut on 30 April against Vaughan Azzurri. He scored his first goal on May 8, against Toronto Skillz FC. Over the course of the season, he played 18 league matches, scoring seven goals. MŠK Žilina () is a Slovak football club based in the town of Žilina, that is playing in the Slovak Superliga. The 2017–18 Slovak First Football League (known as the Slovak Fortuna Liga for sponsorship reasons) was the 25th season of first-tier football league in Slovakia, since its establishment in 1993. MŠK Žilina were the defending champions, after winning their 7th Slovak championship. Format changes Starting from this season, the competition format was changed. The previous 33-match round robin structure was replaced by a regular stage round of 22 games and a playoff round, where 12 teams are divided into two groups: championship group (top-6 teams after regular stage) and relegation group (bottom 6 teams). The playoff round uses a 10-game round robin structure. The top team in the championship group wins the league title and qualifies to next season's Champions League qualification; the runner-up and 3rd team obtain spots of next season's Europa League Qualification. 2022 Canadian Premier League Season
The 2022 Canadian Premier League season is the fourth season of the Canadian Premier League, the top level of Canadian soccer. Pacific FC are the defending champions, having beaten Forge FC in the 2021 final. The regular season ran from April 7 to October 9, 2022. Each team played four games against each of the seven opponents for a total of 28 matches. Atlético Ottawa won the regular season championship on October 8, securing the club its first trophy. The top four teams from the regular season qualified for the playoffs where they competed for the league title. Forge FC defeated Atlético Ottawa in the 2022 Final to win their third title. 2021 Finnish Cup
The 2021 Finnish Cup is the 67th season of the Finnish Cup football competition. Until the 2017–2018 season, the tournament was held in the autumn-spring schedule from July to September of the following year. The introduction of this new format of the contest meant that the League Cup was suspended. The winner of the Finnish Cup qualifies for the 2022–23 UEFA Europa Conference League. Veikkausliiga (; sv, Tipsligan) is the premier division of Finnish football, the highest tier of the Finnish football league structure, comprising the top 12 clubs of the country.
