Macau Grand Prix Museum
The Grand Prix Museum (; pt, Museu do Grande Prémio) is a motor racing museum in Sé, Macau, China. History The museum was inaugurated at the 40th Macau Grand Prix on 18 November 1993. The museum underwent renovation for the 50th celebration of the Macau Grand Prix. The museum closed on 1 July 2017 for refurbishment. The refurbishment project was presented by the government in 2016 and had its public tender launched at the beginning of 2017. At the time, the government had an estimated budget of MOP380 million, dedicated to renovation and reorganization of the internal sewage network. The latest budget for the works had been increased to MOP830 million, the revised budget will also include the additional costs of purchasing all necessary equipment for the new museum to operate. Sé is a southeast Freguesia (Macau), civil parish ( pt, freguesia) in the Macau Peninsula of Macau. It is the second largest peninsular district in Macau after the civil parish of Freguesia de Nossa Senhora de Fátima (Macau), Nossa Senhora de Fátima. The parish area is named for the Igreja da Sé (Macau), Igreja da Sé. Macau Grand Prix
The Macau Grand Prix ( pt, Grande Prémio de Macau; ) is a motorsport road race for automobiles and motorcycles held annually in Macau. It is the only street circuit racing event in which both cars and motorcycles participate, and one of only two current national Grand Prix events that are not part of the Formula One World Championship, the other being the New Zealand Grand Prix. The first Macau Grand Prix event was held in 1954, as a sports car event. In 1961, the title race became an open-wheel Formula Libre event. The event has also had a variety of support races in its duration. Production cars joined the event in 1957, which were superseded by touring cars in 1972. The event received world championship status from 2005 to 2014 as the final round of the World Touring Car Championship. In 1976, the Macau Motorcycle Grand Prix was introduced. Donington Grand Prix Exhibition
The Donington Grand Prix Collection, sometime known as the ''Donington Grand Prix Exhibition'', was a museum of motor racing cars, based at the Donington Park motor racing circuit in Leicestershire, England. The collection, which started in the 1960s, began to deplete in the 2000s. The museum closed permanently on and its large collection was either sold or loaned cars returned to their owners. Overview With five halls and over 130 exhibits, the Donington Grand Prix Collection comprised the largest exhibition of Grand Prix cars in the world. The collection contained vehicles from many forms of open-wheel, single-seater racing, but was primarily focussed on Grand Prix and Formula One machinery.
