Panadura
Panadura ( si, පානදුර, translit=Pānadura; ta, பாணந்துறை, translit=Pāṇantuṟai) is a city in Kalutara District, Western Province in Sri Lanka. It is located approximately south of Colombo and is surrounded on all sides by water; the Indian Ocean, the Bolgoda Lake and river. Mahesh Amalean
Deshamanya Mahesh Amalean (born 4 April 1955) is a Sri Lankan engineer and industrialist. He is the current Chairman of MAS Holdings. Early life and education Amalean was born to parents with Gujarati ancestry, his father was in the family textile business. He studied at Royal College Colombo and graduated from Regional Engineering College, Tiruchirappalli (now known as National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli) with a BTech degree in chemical engineering. Career Returning to Sri Lanka in 1978 Amalean took up the family businesses. Thereafter he started a manufacturing company with his brothers named Sigma Industries which began operations in Ratmalana, in August 1985. Ultimo was a Glasgow-headquartered designer lingerie brand, majority owned by Sri Lanka-based lingerie group MAS Holdings. It was founded in 1996 by Michelle Mone (now Baroness Mone), via her company MJM International Ltd., with her ex-husband Michael. In 2013, after their marriage collapsed, Ultimo was transferred to joint venture company Ultimo Brands International Ltd, an equal partnership between Michelle Mone and MAS Holdings. Thulhiriya
Thulhiriya is a village in the Kegalle District, Sabaragamuwa Province, Sri Lanka. History In 1968 the government established the state-owned Thulhiriya Textile Mill, it was privatised to Bombay Dyne in 1980 and then Kabool Lanka until 2003. This was the largest textile mill in Sri Lanka. The mill was constructed in an area of 14 acres and under one roof. In 2006 MAS Holdings established a fabric park in Thulhiriya, the country's first privately owned apparel intensive free trade zone. The fabric park spans and provides employment to over 8,200 people. Since it was established a further eight companies have set up factories in the fabric park.
