Myanmar Air Force
The Myanmar Air Force ( my, တပ်မတော် (လေ), ), known until 1989 as the Burmese Air Force, is the aerial branch of Myanmar's armed forces, the Tatmadaw. The primary mission of the Myanmar Air Force (MAF) since its inception has been to provide transport, logistical, and close air support to the Myanmar Army in counter-insurgency operations.Myoe, Maung Aung: Building the Tatmadaw It is mainly used in internal conflicts in Myanmar, and, on a smaller scale, in relief missions, especially after the deadly Cyclone Nargis of May 2008. Since the military coup in February 2021, Myanmar Air Force aircraft have been used in airstrikes on villages. History Post-Independence era (1948–1990) The Myanmar Air Force (MAF) was formed as the Burmese Air Force on 16 January 1947, while Burma (as Myanmar was known until 1989) was still under British rule. By 1948, the fleet of the new air force included 40 Airspeed Oxfords, 16 de Havilland Tiger Moths, four Austers, and three ...

Metin-Ali-Feyyaz
Metin-Ali-Feyyaz (also called Metin Ali Feyyaz, shortly MAF) is a combination of the first names of three Turkish footballers: Metin Tekin, Ali Gültiken, and Feyyaz Uçar, who served Turkish club Beşiktaş, during one of the most successful periods of the team, mostly notably under English manager Gordon Milne's spell in late 1980s and early 1990s. MAF years The three had been recruited in relatively young ages as Tekin and Gültiken joined the squad as youth players. Tekin and Uçar were promoted to the professional team during the 1982–83 season. They were joined by Gültiken in the beginning of 1984–85 season. Tekin and Gültiken played together during the pre-season TSYD Cup for the first time. In the opening match of the season, all three footballers played for some minutes; however, they were not on the pitch at the same time. On 23 March 1984, the trio played together for the very first time after Tekin was joined by Uçar in the 67th minute and Gültiken in the 79th ...

Saint Martin is separated from the island of Anguilla by the Anguilla Channel. Its capital is Marigot. With a population of 32,489 as of January 2019 on an area of , it encompasses the northern 60% of the divided island of Saint Martin, and some neighbouring islets, the largest of which is Île Tintamarre. The southern 40% of the island of Saint Martin constitutes Sint Maarten, which has been a constituent country of the Kingdom of the Netherlands since 2010 following the dissolution of Netherlands Antilles. This marks the only place in the world where France borders the Netherlands. Before 2007, the French part of Saint Martin was a commune belonging to the French overseas department and region of Guadeloupe. Despite sec ...

New Zealand Ministry Of Agriculture And Forestry
The Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry (in Māori, ''Te Manatu Ahuwhenua, Ngāherehere'') was a state sector organisation of New Zealand which dealt with matters relating to agriculture, forestry and biosecurity. It was commonly known by its acronym, "MAF". In April 2012, it became part of the newly formed Ministry for Primary Industries. History The New Zealand Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry was formerly known as the ''Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries'', but in 1995 responsibilities for fisheries were passed to the newly formed Ministry of Fisheries. However, the government of New Zealand decided that, despite the loss of Fisheries, the newly created ''Ministry of Agriculture'' should continue to be known by the acronym "MAF", and should still use the same logo, because of the high recognition and regard for the name and logo amongst the country's overseas trading partners. In 1998, this Ministry of Agriculture and the Ministry of Forestry merged to become the ...

Microsoft Access
Microsoft Access is a database management system (DBMS) from Microsoft that combines the relational Access Database Engine (ACE) with a graphical user interface and software-development tools (not to be confused with the old Microsoft Access which was a telecommunication program that provided terminal emulation and interfaces for ease of use in accessing online services such as Dow Jones, Compuserve and electronic mailbox in the 1980s). It is a member of the Microsoft 365 suite of applications, included in the Professional and higher editions or sold separately. Microsoft Access stores data in its own format based on the Access Database Engine (formerly Jet Database Engine). It can also import or link directly to data stored in other applications and databases. Software developers, data architects and power users can use Microsoft Access to develop application software. Like other Microsoft Office applications, Access is supported by Visual Basic for Applications (VBA), an obj ...

Magnetic Field-assisted Finishing
Magnetic field-assisted finishing, sometimes called magnetic abrasive finishing, is a surface finishing technique in which a magnetic field is used to force abrasive particles against the target surface.D.K. Singh, V.K. Jain, V. Raghuram (2003Superfinishing of alloy steel using magnetic abrasive finishing process''Proceedings of the 18th Annual ASPE Meeting''. As such, finishing of conventionally inaccessible surfaces (e.g., the inside surface of a long curved pipe) is possible. Magnetic field-assisted finishing (MAF) processes have been developed for a wide variety of applications including the manufacturing of medical components, fluid systems, optics, dies and molds, electronic components, microelectromechanical systems, and mechanical components. History MAF was initially developed as a machining process in the US in the 1930s, with the first patent in the 1940s. University research in the Soviet Union, Bulgaria, Germany, Poland, and US began in the 1960s with practical usage ...

Mozilla Archive Format
The Mozilla Archive Format (MAFF) is a legacy Web archive file format that was provided by Firefox through an extension, used to store one or more web pages with their associated audio, video, and other related web resources to a single file. Unlike MHTML, which uses MIME encoding within a single HTML file, MAFF compresses the page into a ZIP container file. The extension supported versions of Firefox from 2007 to 2018 but not later, and there are no plans to update it. It continued to be supported in Cyberfox and Waterfox, forks of Firefox that try to keep features removed from Firefox like the traditional extension API. Browser extension WebScrapBook (with assistant PyWebScrapBook), available for Firefox 57+ and Chromium-based browsers, supports saving and opening MAFF files. Pale Moon extension MozArchiver, a fork of the original extension, provides the same support for Pale Moon 26.0 and newer. Existing files in the discontinued .maff format can be accessed by extracting t ...

Markranstädter Automobilfabrik
The Markranstädter Automobilfabrik is a former producer of automobiles from Markranstädt, Germany, which was active between 1909 and 1923. Hugo Ruppe founded the Markranstädter car factory in 1909, producing cars that were sold under the brand name ''MAF''. The first model was the Type D 4 from 1909 to 1913. Its air-cooled four-cylinder engine with 1192 cc provided 12  PS. The Type F 5 followed in 1913 with 1375 cc and 14 hp, and the G 6 with 1620 cc and 16 hp. Due to the outbreak of World War I in 1914 production was interrupted. After the war MAF produced the pre-war type F 5, and the 6 / 18 hp which replaced the G 6. MAF also built the type 8 / 25 hp, and the large 14 / 35 hp with a six-cylinder engine. In 1921 the factory was taken over by the Apollo-Werke AG, and in 1923 the last models were produced by MAF. Very few examples of the MAF remain today. A type F 5 / 14 PS of 1914 is in the Cité de l ...

MAFless Tuning
MAFless tuning is a method of operating the fuel injection system on a gasoline-powered motor vehicle whereby the mass airflow meter, or MAF, is removed. The MAF The MAF is a component in a vehicle's intake system through which air flows past a wire that is heated by an electric current. The airflow cools the wire, enabling the MAF to calculate the mass of airflow into the engine. The vehicle's engine management computer then uses this information to calculate the correct amount of fuel to be delivered to the cylinders by the fuel injection system. Removing the MAF When tuning a MAF-equipped vehicle to operate in MAFless mode, the MAF is removed. This requires the use of an alternative method of calculating airflow into the engine, which is also referred to as 'Speed-Density' system, as opposed to a MAF system. On vehicles so equipped, this alternative involves the use of a manifold absolute pressure, or MAP, sensor. The MAP sensor measures pressure in the engine's inlet ...

Mass Airflow Sensor
A mass (air) flow sensor (MAF) is a sensor used to determine the mass flow rate of air entering a fuel-injected internal combustion engine. The air mass information is necessary for the engine control unit (ECU) to balance and deliver the correct fuel mass to the engine. Air changes its density with temperature and pressure. In automotive applications, air density varies with the ambient temperature, altitude and the use of forced induction, which means that mass flow sensors are more appropriate than volumetric flow sensors for determining the quantity of intake air in each cylinder. There are two common types of mass airflow sensors in use on automotive engines. These are the vane meter and the hot wire. Neither design employs technology that measures air mass directly. However, with additional sensors and inputs, an engine's ECU can determine the mass flow rate of intake air. Both approaches are used almost exclusively on electronic fuel injection (EFI) engines. Both sensor ...
