Lius Pongoh
Lius Pongoh (born December 3, 1960 in Jakarta; ) is a former Indonesian badminton player. Career Pongoh played singles at a world class level in the 1980s. At nineteen he was a bronze medalist at the 1980 IBF World Championships in Jakarta, losing in the semifinals to fellow countryman Liem Swie King. On the international badminton circuit Pongoh's wins included the Swedish (1981), Indonesia (1984), and Chinese Taipei (1985) Opens, the 1981 Copenhagen Cup (forerunner of the Copenhagen Masters), and the 1982 Indian Masters. Hastomo Arbi (born Ang Tjong Hauw, 5 August 1958, in Kudus, Central Java) is a retired male Chinese Indonesian badminton player who represented Indonesia. Career He was active as an international level player from the late 1970s to the mid-1980s. He is the older brother of Hariyanto Arbi, an Indonesian player of the 1990s who won men's singles at the 1995 IBF World Championships and Eddy Hartono who was a silver men's doubles medalist at the 1992 Summer Olympics. Icuk Sugiarto (born 4 October 1962) is an Indonesian former badminton player. Morten Frost or Morten Frost Hansen (born 4 April 1958) is a former badminton player and later coach, who represented Denmark. As a player, he spent twelve years in the top three of the world rankings. IBF World Championships
The BWF World Championships, formerly known as IBF World Championships, and also known as the World Badminton Championships, is a badminton tournament sanctioned by Badminton World Federation (BWF). The tournament is one of the most prestigious in badminton, offering the most ranking points, together with the Summer Olympics badminton tournaments which was first introduced in 1992. The Indonesia national badminton team represents Indonesia in international badminton team competitions and is controlled by the Badminton Association of Indonesia, the governing body for badminton in Indonesia. Rudy Hartono Kurniawan (born Nio Hap Liang (); 18 August 1949) is an Indonesian former badminton player holding the record of winning the men's singles title at the All-England Championship eight times, seven times consecutively from 1968 to 1974.
