Sujon Sokhi
''Sujon Sokhi'' ( bn, সুজন সখী) is a 1975 Bangladeshi film directed by Khan Ataur Rahman. The film was remade in West Bengal(India) in 1995 with the same title, which was directed by Swapan Saha. The film received critical acclaim, particularly for the performance given by Kabori Sarwar, who won Bachsas Award for Best Actress. Both Sabina Yasmin and Abdul Alim earned Bangladesh National Film Awards for the song "Sob Sokhire Par Korite". Plot Lokhman, his wife and their son Sujon live with his step mother, step brother Solaiman and his pregnant wife whom Lokhman and his wife detest. However, they think of them as their own and Solaiman and his mother love Sujon a lot. Lokhman and his wife later throw them out of the house with Solaiman giving his wealth share to Sujon. Bobita
Farida Akhtar Poppy, known by her stage name Babita, is a Bangladeshi film actress. She is a popular actress in Bangladeshi films of the 1970s. She is best known for her performance in Satyajit Ray's '' Distant Thunder'', a novel adaptation about the Bengal famine of 1943, which won the Golden Bear prize at the 23rd Berlin International Film Festival in 1973. She was active in the 1970s through 1990s as an actress in Bangladeshi films. Babita acted in more than 350 films. Sohel Rana (actor)
Masud Parvez (born 1947; known by his stage name Sohel Rana) is a Bangladeshi film actor, director and producer. At present, he is a presidium member of the Jatiya Party. He won Bangladesh National Film Award for Best Actor for his role in the film Ojante (1996), the Best Supporting Actor award for Sahoshi Manush Chai (2003) and the Bangladesh National Film Award for Lifetime Achievement 2019. Rosy Afsary (also Rosy Samad, 23 April 1946 – 9 March 2007) was an actress in the Bangladeshi film industry. She was awarded the Bangladesh National Film Award for Best Supporting Actress in its first ceremony in 1975 for her role in the film ''Lathial''. Career Afsary started her career in 1964 through ''Eito Jibon'' film. She appeared in over 200 Bengali films and always played a positive sad role. She also acted in 25 Urdu films. Anwar Hossain (6 December 1931 – 13 September 2013) was a Bangladeshi actor, best known for playing the role of Siraj ud-Daulah in the Bengali film Nawab Sirajuddaula (1967). He appeared in nearly 500 movies in his 50-year career. He received the Bangladesh National Film Award for Best Actor for his role in the film ''Lathial'' (1975) and Best Supporting Actor awards for the films again for ''Golapi Ekhon Traine'' (1978) and ''Dayi Ke?'' ''Lathial'' ( bn, লাঠিয়াল) is a Bangladeshi film directed by Narayan Ghosh Mita. The film is the first recipient of National Film Awards. This film was awarded with 6 different categories including Best Film, Best Director, Best Actor, Best Supporting Actor, Best Supporting Actress, Best Art Director. Plot Dukhu Mia (Farooque) is a stage performer and his brother Kader Lathial (Anwar Hossain) works for Matbor (Obaidul Haque Sarkar). Dukhu beats Matbor's son Mokbul (A.T.M. Shamsuzzaman) for irritating Banu (Bobita) whom he loves. Matbor complains this to Kader and Kader beat Dukhu for this. This incident becomes the reason of dispute between two brothers.
