Lisa Nordén
Lisa Nordén (born 24 November 1984, Kristianstad, Skåne, Sweden) is a professional Swedish triathlete, 2012 Olympic silver medalist, and 2008 and 2016 Olympian. She is also the winner of the 2012 Triathlon World Series. Nordén's other accomplishments include Swedish Champion of the year 2008, the U23 World Champion of the year 2007, the Sprint World Champion of the year 2010, vice World Champion (World Championship Series) of the year 2009, bronze medalist of the World Championship Series of the years 2008 and 2010, and bronze medalist at the European Championships 2010. Athletic career Nordén took the silver medal in triathlon at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London. She was credited with the same time (1:59.48) as gold medalist Nicola Spirig, but was edged out in a photo finish. Triathlon At The 2015 European Games
The triathlon competitions at the 2015 European Games, in Baku, were held on 13 and 14 June 2015. A total of 105 athletes, 57 men and 48 women, competed. Qualification A maximum of 12 NOCs may qualify three athletes per event. Other NOCs may have a maximum of two quota places per event. Three quota places will be allocated to the first 12 nations to have three athletes eligible through the qualification process. Olympic qualification Triathlon is one of the events where performance in the 2015 Games impact on Olympic Qualification. In the case of triathlon, the winner of each event will secure a quota place for their NOC for the 2016 Summer Olympics. The 2015 European Games, also known as Baku 2015 or Baku 2015 European Games ( az, Bakı 2015 Avropa Oyunları), were the inaugural edition of the European Games, an international multi-sport event for athletes representing the National Olympic Committees (NOCs) of the European Olympic Committees. It took place in Baku, Azerbaijan, from 12 to 28 June 2015, and featured almost 6,000 athletes from 50 countries competing in 30 sports, including 15 summer Olympic and 2 non-Olympic sports. Host selection Baku was awarded the right to host the first European Games at the 41st EOC General Assembly in Rome, on 8 December 2012. Nicola Spirig Hug (born 7 February 1982) is a Swiss lawyer and former professional triathlete. She is the 2012 Olympic and six times European champion in women's triathlon. Career Nicola Spirig is a five times Olympian. She was Olympic champion in 2012 and runner up in 2016. She was World Championship runner up in 2010, Junior World Champion in 2001, Junior European Champion in 1999, and Elite European Champion in 2009, 2010, 2012, 2014, 2015 and 2018.
