Lily Castel
Lily Castel (born Alice van Acker on 10 April 1937) is a Belgian singer, best known for her participation with Jacques Raymond in the 1971 Eurovision Song Contest. Early career Castel started out as a dancer before auditioning for television talent show ''Ontdek de Ster'' in 1958. She obtained regular work singing with orchestras, and through the 1960s appeared on television and performed internationally, including at the Sopot International Song Festival. Ghent ( nl, Gent ; french: Gand ; traditional English: Gaunt) is a city and a municipality in the Flemish Region of Belgium. Jean Vallée
Jean Vallée (born Paul Goeders in Verviers on 2 October 1941 – 12 March 2014, Clermont-sur-Berwinne) was a Belgian songwriter and performer. Vallée was appointed Knight of the Order of the Crown by HM Albert II in 1999. Career In 1967 Vallée represented Belgium in the Festival of Rio, where Jacques Brel was a member of the jury. Serge & Christine Ghisoland (both born in 1946) are a singing duo from Mouscron, Belgium, best known for their participation in the 1972 Eurovision Song Contest. Eurovision Song Contest In 1970, the then unknown married couple took part in the semi-finals of the Belgian Eurovision selection with two songs, "Lai lai lai" and "Nous serons toi et moi". Both qualified for the final, but the Ghisolands decided to withdraw "Nous serons toi et moi", leaving "Lai lai lai" to go forward, where it finished fourth. In 1972 the couple were chosen as the Belgian representatives and performed ten songs which were the subject of a public vote. The Gaiety Theatre is a theatre on South King Street in Dublin, Ireland, off Grafton Street and close to St. Stephen's Green. It specialises in operatic and musical productions, with occasional dramatic shows. History In April 1871, the brothers John and Michael Gunn obtained a 21-year license to establish "a well-regulated theatre and therein at all times publicly to act, represent or perform any interlude, tragedy, comedy, prelude, opera, burletta, play, farce or pantomime".
