Norway was represented by duo Dollie de Luxe, with the song " Lenge leve livet" at the 1984 Eurovision Song Contest, which took place on 5 May in Luxembourg City. "Lenge leve livet" was chosen as the Norwegian entry at the Melodi Grand Prix on 7 April. Before Eurovision Melodi Grand Prix 1984 The Melodi Grand Prix 1984 was organised by broadcaster NRK and was held at the Château Neuf in Oslo, hosted by Sissel Keyn Lodding. Ten songs took part in the final, with the winner chosen by voting from five juries separated by age. It was one of the closest MGPs, with only 3 points separating the top four songs. Dollie De Luxe
Dollie de Luxe were a Norwegian pop duo consisting of Benedicte Adrian (lead vocal) and Ingrid Bjørnov (keyboard and vocal). Their debut album ''Første Akt'' from 1980 was awarded Spellemannprisen. They represented Norway in the Eurovision Song Contest 1984 with the song "Lenge leve livet". The duo Dollie was formed in 1980, and from 1984 called Dollie de Luxe. In 1985 they scored a Top 20 hit in France with their single "Queen of the Night/Satisfaction". Their musical '' Which Witch'' premiered at Bergen International Festival in 1987. Hilde Heltberg
Hilde Heltberg (30 September 1959 – 4 September 2011) was a Norwegian singer, guitarist and songwriter, born in Oslo, Norway. Career Heltberg started her career in the late 70s when she entered a talent competition judged by Stein Ove Berg, who became her mentor. She later joined the band Uncle John's Band, and, in 1982, X-tra, with Trond Granlund. She released her first, self-titled, solo album in 1982, but found a more individual style in 1983 with ''På bare bein'' (On bare feet), produced by Jonas Fjeld. All in all Heltberg released 12 albums over the course of her career. She also participated in the Norwegian qualification for the Eurovision Song Contest three times as an artist: in 1980, 1984 and 1985, and as a songwriter in 2000.
