Lac Aux Biscuits
The lac aux Biscuits (Cookies Lake) (formerly named "Lac à la Croix" in French or Cross Lake in English) is located in Haute-Batiscanie in the municipality of Lac-Édouard, Quebec, in La Tuque, in the administrative region of the Mauricie, in the province of Quebec, Canada. The watershed discharge of "Lac aux Biscuits" (Cookies Lake) is 247 km², the sixth largest pool of Batiscanie. Geography "Cookies lake" (lac aux Biscuits, in French) has a length of 2.4 km and a width of 0.8 km (until bottom of the large bay located north of the lake). Its mouth is located at the south-west of the lake and its waters discharge into a small river of 2.4 km, which drains into another lake that is part the Batiscan River. "Cookies lake" is located at 5.6 km southeast of the village of Lac-Édouard, Quebec, at 48 km north-east of La Tuque. Lac-Édouard, Quebec
Lac-Édouard is a municipality in the Mauricie region of the province of Quebec in Canada. Its village centre is located along the Canadian National Railway at the north end of the namesake Lake Édouard. On March 26, 2003, it became part of the City of La Tuque as part of the early 2000s municipal reorganization in Quebec, but following a 2004 referendum, the Municipalities of La Bostonnais and Lac-Édouard were reconstituted on January 1, 2006. It remains part of the urban agglomeration of La Tuque. It had formerly been part of Le Haut-Saint-Maurice Regional County Municipality, which was abolished in the wake of the merger; after demerger, it is one of the few municipalities (other than in the Nord-du-Québec region) that is not part of any regional county municipality. Batiscanie is the watershed of the Batiscan River, located in the center of the province of Quebec, Canada, covering 4690 km² on the North Shore of the St. Lawrence River. The area covered by Batiscanie is 53% in the administrative région of Mauricie and 47% in the administrative region of the Capitale-Nationale. Batiscan River
The Batiscan River is located in La Mauricie administrative region, in the Quebec province, Canada. This river flows from Lake Édouard in Mauricie south and west to empty into the St. Lawrence River at Batiscan, Quebec, northeast of Trois-Rivières, Quebec. It passes through the regional county municipalities (RCM) (MRC in French) of La Tuque, Portneuf, Mékinac and Les Chenaux. Mauricie
Mauricie () is a traditional and current administrative region of Quebec. La Mauricie National Park is contained within the region, making it a prime tourist location. The region has a land area of 35,860.05 km² (13,845.64 sq mi) and a population of 266,112 residents as of the 2016 Census. Its largest cities are Trois-Rivières and Shawinigan. The word ''Mauricie'' was coined by local priest and historian Albert Tessier and is based on the Saint-Maurice river which runs through the region on a North-South axis.
