''La Revuelta'' is the tenth album by the Argentine rock band Bersuit Vergarabat. This is the first album recorded by Bersuit after a hiatus, and without the main singer and one of the founders of the band, Gustavo Cordera. The album was produced with the collaboration of Argentinian singers Andrés Calamaro, Vicentico and ''Chano'' from Tan Biónica Tan Biónica was a pop rock band from Argentina. Bersuit
Bersuit Vergarabat is an Argentine rock band that formed formally in 1987. History The previous name of the band (from 1987 to May 1989) was ''Henry y la Palangana''. By the end of 1989, the band had changed name several times, adopting nonsensical names like "Ernios of arcabio", "Aparrata Vergi", "Seria Soneub" (Buenos Aires spelled backwards); but eventually settled on "Bersuit Vergarabat Van de ir" then keeping only "Bersuit Vergarabat" its most iconic name. After two albums of underground transgressor rock, the band began to experiment with Latin American rhythms such as cumbia, chacarera, candombe and cuartetazo. The lyrics, though, remained acid and critical with regard to political and social problems. Rock en español () is a term used widely in the English-speaking world to refer to any kind of rock music featuring Spanish vocals. Compared to English-speaking bands, very few acts reached worldwide success or between Spanish-speaking countries due to a lack of promotion. Gerardo Horacio López von Linden (born 3 March 1956), known professionally as Cachorro López, is an Argentine record producer, musician and songwriter. Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, he enrolled in various musical ensembles, including Zas and Los Abuelos de la Nada. López has worked with several artists producing their albums, including Caifanes, Stephanie Salas, Andrés Calamaro, Paulina Rubio, Diego Torres and Miranda!. López also was the executive producer of the tribute album for the English band Queen in 1997. Gustavo Edgardo Cordera (born September 15, 1961 in Avellaneda, Buenos Aires) is an Argentine rock musician, best known as the ex frontman of the band Bersuit Vergarabat. Biography Cordera's musical career began in 1988, when he was studying communications at the Universidad Nacional de Lomas de Zamora and running his own auto dealership, Cordera Bros. In the spring of that year, he visited Rio de Janeiro during Carnaval and was inspired to become a musician. Returning to Avellaneda, he sold his dealership, abandoned his studies, and shaved his head, an act which earned him the sobriquet Pelado (in English "Bald"). Gabriel Julio Fernández Capello (born July 24, 1964 in Buenos Aires, Argentina) is a musician and composer better known by his stage name Vicentico. Co-founder and vocalist of the band Los Fabulosos Cadillacs along with Flavio Cianciarulo. He was part of the group since its creation in 1984 to the year 2001, when he began a solo career as a singer.
