Lwemiyaga County
Lwemiyaga County is a county in the Central Region of Uganda. Location Lwemiyaga County is north-west of Mawogola County, and together they form Sembabule District. The county consists of two sub-counties: (a) Lwemiyaga sub-county and (b) Ntuusi sub-county. Urban centers in the county include Lwemiyaga and Ntuusi, located about apart. Overview Lwemiyaga County is in the dry cattle corridor of Uganda. Drought is one of the challenges that the county faces, along with bad roads and electricity shortages. Flag Of Uganda
The flag of Uganda ( Ugandan Languages: ''Bendera ya Uganda'') was adopted on 9 October 1962, the date that Uganda became independent from the British Empire. It consists of six equal horizontal bands of black (top), yellow, red, black, yellow, and red (bottom); a white disc is superimposed at the centre and depicts the national symbol, a grey crowned crane, facing the hoist's side. Regions Of Uganda
The regions of Uganda are known as Central, Western, Eastern, and Northern. These four regions are in turn divided into districts. There were 56 districts in 2002, which expanded into 111 districts plus one city (Kampala) by 2010. The national government interacts directly with the districts, so regions do not have any definite role in administration. Under British rule before 1962, the regions were functional administrative units and were called provinces, headed by a Provincial Commissioner. As of 17 November 2020, Uganda is divided into 136 districts and the capital city of Kampala, which are grouped into four administrative regions. Since 2005, the Ugandan government has been in the process of dividing districts into smaller units. Parliament Of Uganda
The parliament of Uganda is the country's legislative body. Unicameral, the most significant of the Ugandan parliament's functions is to pass laws that will provide good governance in the country. The government ministers are bound to answer to the people's representatives on the floor of the house. The ''Daily Monitor'' is a Ugandan independent daily newspaper. Its name is shared by the ''Saturday Monitor'' and ''Sunday Monitor'', which are also published by Monitor Publications Limited. Ntuusi is a settlement in the Central Region of Uganda. Location The settlement is in Lwemiyaga County in Sembabule District in south-western Uganda, approximately south-east of Lwemiyaga, where the county headquarters are located.
