Johan Thomas Lundbye
Johan Thomas Lundbye (1 September 1818 – 25 April 1848) was a Danish painter and graphic artist, known for his animal and landscape paintings. He was inspired by Niels Laurits Høyen's call to develop nationalistic art through depictions of Denmark's characteristic landscapes; the historical buildings and monuments, and the country's simple, rural people. He became one of his generation's national romantic painters, along with P. C. Skovgaard and Lorenz Frølich, to regularly depict the landscape of Zealand. Biography He was born in Kalundborg on the island of Zealand, Denmark. He was one of the sons of Joachim Theodor Lundbye (1778–1841) and Cathrine Bonnevie (1792–1863). He came from a military family and was the brother of Christen Carl Lundbye (1812–1873) and Emanuel Andreas Lundbye (1814–1903) both of whom served as Danish military officers. Lundby IF is a football club formed in 1919 located in Hisingen, Göteborg, Sweden. The club currently plays in Division 6. History 1940s In 1939–1940, during the time the team played in Division 3. After winning the league, the team was promoted to Division 2. The following year the club won the Division 2 Västra. After their win, the team place 8th for 1942–1943 season. From 1943 to 1944, the club came in 7th place. The 1944–1945 season Lundby IF placed 3rd and, in 1946–1947, the club came in 6th place in the same division. 1990s to Present In 1995, the club won the Division 2 Västra Götaland and were promoted to Division 1 Södra. Lundby, also known as ''Lundby of Sweden'', is a Sweden, Swedish maker of dollhouses and miniature furniture for the mass market. Lundby dollshouse furniture has been produced since 1947 and their dollshouses have been sold since the late 1940s. The company started in the Gothenburg borough of Lundby, Gothenburg, Lundby, which also gave the company its name. Lundby was the first maker to include electrical lights in their dollhouses ("child safe" 4 volt rather than the more standard 12 volt) and is notable for following contemporary trends in interior and furniture design. The most common Lundby house style is the 'Göteborg' ('Gothenburg') which first appeared in 1959. This style of house was very popular and is still being sold today. It was renamed as the 'Småland' dolls house in 2006. Maren Lundby (born 7 September 1994) is a Norwegian ski jumper. She is one of the most successful ski jumpers, male or female, having won three consecutive World Cup overall titles (an all-time record), thirty individual World Cup wins, and gold medals at the 2018 Winter Olympics and the 2019 and 2021 World Championships. Lundby is also known as an advocate for gender equality in the sport. Because of her efforts, women are now allowed to jump on the large hill during the World Championships.
