Lundby IF is a football club formed in 1919 located in Hisingen, Göteborg, Sweden. The club currently plays in Division 6. History 1940s In 1939–1940, during the time the team played in Division 3. After winning the league, the team was promoted to Division 2. The following year the club won the Division 2 Västra. After their win, the team place 8th for 1942–1943 season. From 1943 to 1944, the club came in 7th place. The 1944–1945 season Lundby IF placed 3rd and, in 1946–1947, the club came in 6th place in the same division. 1990s to Present In 1995, the club won the Division 2 Västra Götaland and were promoted to Division 1 Södra. The following year Lundby played in Division 1 Södra and placed 12th. In 1997, the team were relegated back to Division 2 but were promoted back to Division 1 after winning Division 2.In 1998, the team placed 13th in Division 1. Hisingen
Hisingen () is the fifth-largest island of Sweden (after Gotland, Öland, Södertörn and Orust), with an area of . It is a river island, formed by the split of the Göta Älv at Bohus, and is defined to the east and south by the main arm of that river, to the north by the smaller arm (known as the Nordre Älv), and to the west by the Kattegat. Tobias Hysén
Glenn Tobias Hysén (born 9 March 1982) is a Swedish former professional footballer who played as a forward or as a winger. Starting his career with Lundby IF in 1998, he went on to represent BK Häcken, Djurgårdens IF, Sunderland, IFK Göteborg, and Shanghai SIPG before retiring in 2018. A full international between 2005 and 2014, Hysén won 34 caps and scored 10 goals for the Sweden national team. He represented his country at UEFA Euro 2012. Dime Jankulovski ( mk, Диме Јанкуловски; born 18 June 1977) is a Swedish football coach and former professional player who currently is the assistant coach of Västra Frölunda IF. He played as a goalkeeper. Club career Having started his youth years at Rannebergens IF, Jankulovski shortly after moved to join GAIS youth section. Due to financial difficulties for the youth section, he was forced to depart the club and ended up at Lundby IF, where he eventually made his senior team debut. Teddy Mark Šime Lučić (; born 15 April 1973) is a Swedish former footballer and manager. He played as a centre-back. Lučić made his debut for Sweden in 1995, and represented his country at three FIFA World Cups (1994, 2002, and 2006) and two UEFA European Championships (2000 and 2004), earning a total of 86 caps.
