Lucky Mkosana
Luckymore "Lucky" Mkosana (born 30 September 1987) is a Zimbabwean footballer who currently plays for Tampa Bay Rowdies in the USL Championship. Playing career College and Amateur Mkosana played college soccer at Dartmouth College between 2008 and 2011. During his time at Dartmouth, Mkosana was named Ivy League Player of the Year (2011), All-Ivy League First Team (2008, 2009, 2010, 2011), Soccer America Freshman, All-America First Team, College Soccer News Freshman, All-America First Team and Ivy League Rookie of the Year (2008). He became Dartmouth’s all-time career leader with 34 career goals, breaking a record that had stood since 1953. Mkosana played for USL Premier Development League club Michigan Bucks in 2011. Chicago Fire selected Mkosana in the second round (No. 23 overall) of the 2012 MLS SuperDraft, but wasn't signed by the club. The New York Cosmos is an American professional association football, soccer club based in Uniondale, New York, that plays in the National Independent Soccer Association (NISA). The USL Championship (USLC) is a professional men's soccer league in the United States that began its inaugural season in 2011. The 2019 USL Championship season is the ninth season of the USL Championship and third under Division II sanctioning. This is the first season in which the league is operating under the name "USL Championship," having used the name "United Soccer League" through 2018. The 2017 North American Soccer League season was the 50th season of Division II soccer in the United States and Canada, and the 7th season of the modern North American Soccer League. The defending champions are the New York Cosmos who defeated Indy Eleven in Soccer Bowl 2016. Eight clubs played in the NASL after provisional sanctioning by the United States Soccer Federation. Veikkausliiga (; sv, Tipsligan) is the premier division of Finnish football, the highest tier of the Finnish football league structure, comprising the top 12 clubs of the country. Soccer Bowl 2016 is the North American Soccer League's postseason championship match of the 2016 season which determined the NASL Champion. Background The Indy Eleven were the first team to earn a spot in "The Championship", when they won the Spring Championship back in June. They edged out the New York Cosmos in the Spring season on the third tiebreaker (head-head). The New York Cosmos responded by winning the Fall Championship. Soccer Bowl 2015 is the North American Soccer League's postseason championship match of the 2015 season which determined the NASL Champion. Background The New York Cosmos became the first club to earn a place in the Soccer Bowl Championship after securing the 2015 Spring Championship with a 3–3 draw at home against Jacksonville on June 13. The Fall Championship would be clinched by the Ottawa Fury on October 21 with a comeback 3–1 away win, also against the Armada. This would be Fury's first championship as a professional club and would make them the first Canadian club to appear in the Soccer Bowl playoffs since 2011.
