Lucilia (wife Of Lucretius)
Lucilia is believed to have been the wife of the Roman philosopher Lucretius (c. 99 BC – c. 55 BC), though there is little evidence of their relationship, let alone marriage. Moreover, the name 'Lucilia' was not associated with Lucretius until many centuries after his death. In Walter Map's twelfth century work titled ''De nugis curialium'', 'Lucilia' is the name of a woman who murders her husband by giving him a potion that causes him to go insane. It wasn't until 1511, in :it:Giovan Battista Pio, Pius's vita, that the name 'Lucilia' became associated with Lucretius. Some have even questioned whether this association was made-up for the sake of writing, that is, to maintain literary style. Chronological development of the story of Lucilia Fourth century St. Jerome contributed to our understanding of Lucretius's death when he wrote:''The poet Titus Lucretius was born. In later life he was sent mad by a love potion; in the intervals of his madness he composed a number of ...

__NOTOC__ The Mesosemiini are one of the tribes of metalmark butterflies (family Riodinidae). They are the basalmost living tribe of the Riodininae, outside the main radiation together with the slightly more advanced Eurybiini. Sabatinca Lucilia
''Sabatinca lucilia'' is a species of moth in the family Micropterigidae. It is endemic to New Zealand and is found in the top half of the North Island. The adults of this species are on the wing from the end of November until the beginning of March. The larvae of this species likely feed on foliose liverwort species with the adults likely feeding on fern spores or sedge pollen. Adults have been found on a sunny moss-covered clay bank. The species can be found in multiple forest types such as kauri, kanuka and Nothofagus and prefers to inhabit damp fern covered banks Taxonomy This species was described by Charles Edwin Clarke in 1920 using a specimen collected via electric light at Waitomo Hotel and another collected at Kauri Gully in Auckland. The latter specimen was designated by George Gibbs as the lectotype specimen and is held at the Auckland War Memorial Museum. Description Clarke described the species as follows: In 1923 Alfred Philpott studied the wing venatio ...

Lucilius
The gens Lucilia was a plebeian family at ancient Rome. The most famous member of this gens was the poet Gaius Lucilius, who flourished during the latter part of the second century BC.''Dictionary of Greek and Roman Biography and Mythology'', vol. II, p. 822 ("Lucilia Gens"). Although many Lucilii appear in Roman history, the only one known to have obtained any of the higher offices of the Roman state was Lucilius Longus, consul ''suffectus'' in AD 7. Origin The nomen ''Lucilius'' is a patronymic surname, derived from the common Latin praenomen ''Lucius''. The satirist Lucilius is said to have come from Suessa Aurunca, an ancient town of the Aurunci, where a Latin colony was established in 313 BC. Branches and cognomina In the time of the Republic, the surnames of the Lucilii were ''Balbus'' and ''Bassus'', the former originally referring to one who stammers, and the latter referring to someone ''stout'' or ''sturdy''. Later, in imperial times, we find ''Capito'', given to ...
