Lucia Fasano (born February 1, 1993) is an American singer-songwriter, comedian, actress, comic book writer, cartoonist, and writer based in Los Angeles, California. Fasano co-created and co-stars (with ''The Doubleclicks''s Angela Webber) in the web series ''Catty B's''. Early life and education Fasano was born in Los Angeles, California, to filmmaker John Fasano and screenwriter Cynthia Cirile. She attended college at Portland State University in Portland, Oregon. Career Music Fasano's music career began with her Los Angeles-based indie rock band Shady Characters, who self-released EP in 2010 and Sunny Days in 2012. Fasano's first solo album was recorded in Portland, Oregon and produced by Larry Crane. Nerd-folk music duo The Doubleclicks created their own independent record label ''Doubleclicks Records'' and their first album was Fasano's debut, ''Radio Silence''. ''President Snakes'' is the fourth album from the nerd-folk duo The Doubleclicks, released on August 11, 2015. The album was funded via Kickstarter with a goal of $30,000. The goal was achieved within the first few days of the campaign's launch. It exceeded this and raised $55,535, on June 2, 2015. Production On May 7, 2015, The Doubleclicks sought funding for the album via the crowd-funding site Kickstarter, asking for $30,000. On June 2, 2015, the Kickstarter campaign ended with $55,535 from 1,282 backers. Kickstarter rewards include a coloring book and a tabletop role-playing game called ''Fiasco''. Larry Crane is an American editor, recording engineer, and archivist based in Portland, Oregon. Crane is the editor and founder of ''Tape Op'' magazine, the owner of Portland's Jackpot! Recording Studio, a freelance engineer, and the archivist for the estate of musician Elliott Smith. Career ''Tape Op'' was started in 1996. From 1994 to 1997, Crane ran Laundry Rules Recording, a home studio in Portland, Oregon, where he recorded artists that include Versus, Stephen Malkmus, and Cat Power. Since 1997, Crane has owned and run Jackpot! Neutral Milk Hotel
Neutral Milk Hotel was an American band formed in Ruston, Louisiana, by musician Jeff Mangum. They were active from 1989 to 1998, and again from 2013 to 2015. The band's music featured a deliberately low-quality sound, influenced by indie rock and psychedelic folk. Mangum wrote surreal and opaque lyrics that covered a wide range of topics, including love, spirituality, nostalgia, sex, and loneliness. He and the other band members played a variety of instruments, including non-traditional rock instruments like the singing saw, uilleann pipes, and Digital Horn. Neutral Milk Hotel began as one of Mangum's home recording projects. In 1994, he released the song " Everything Is" on Cher Doll Records. The song's exposure convinced him to record more music under this name.
