Luchi Cruz-Valdez
Luisita "Luchi" Cruz-Valdes (born December 27, 1965) is a Filipino broadcast journalist formerly affiliated with GMA News and Public Affairs and ABS-CBN News and Current Affairs. She is currently the chief of News5, the news and public affairs department of TV5. Life and career Cruz-Valdes earned her degree in broadcast communication at the University of the Philippines Diliman (UP), and became a radio and television reporter and producer. She is married to Lito Valdes, an IT marketing manager, and has three children. Cruz-Valdes joined the Associated Broadcasting Company (ABC) as a field reporter when it set up a Manila bureau for the 1986 Snap Presidential Election. After her ABC stint, Cruz-Valdes was hired by Cheche Lazaro when ABS-CBN reopened after president Corazon Aquino was sworn into position. Ramon "Bong" Osorio (November 5, 1953 – April 30, 2020) was a Filipino media executive and communication professor at the University of Santo Tomas Faculty of Arts and Letters. He served as Vice President of ABS-CBN for Corporate Communications. Osorio was President of the Public Relations Society of the Philippines and Council Member of the National Council for Children’s Television. Early years and education Osorio finished his basic education from Paco Catholic School and pursued a communication degree from University of Santo Tomas Faculty of Arts and Letters graduating in 1974. ''i-Witness'', formerly ''i-Witness: The GMA Documentaries'' is a Philippine television documentary show broadcast by GMA Network and GMA News TV. Originally hosted by Vicky Morales, Luchi Cruz-Valdes, Mike Enriquez, Cheche Lazaro and Jessica Soho, it premiered on January 18, 1999. It is the longest-running documentary program in Philippine television. The show concluded on GMA Network on April 29, 2020. Background The TV show is about different personalities caught on act by reporters of News5. The format was somewhat similar to TMZ, except that it focuses more on politics rather than showbiz.
