Lorraine TGV Station
Lorraine TGV station ( French: ''Gare de Lorraine TGV'') is a railway station located in Louvigny, France, on the LGV Est, a high-speed rail line running from Paris to Strasbourg. Opened in 2007 as part of the first phase of the new line, it is situated near Metz–Nancy–Lorraine Airport, between the cities of Metz and Nancy. As the two other new LGV Est stations (Gare de Champagne-Ardenne TGV and Gare de Meuse TGV) it is served by TGV inOui and Ouigo services. When built, it was criticised for being too far from any of the towns to be useful. Louvigny, Moselle
Louvigny (; ) is a commune in the Moselle department in Grand Est in north-eastern France. It had a registered population of 890 in 2018. Louvigny is the location of the Lorraine TGV station, which was opened in 2007, and is also close to the regional airport serving Metz and Nancy. The longer-term future of the Lorraine TGV station is the subject of a larger dispute between different tiers of local government. Another TGV station was proposed at Vandières, 10 km to the west, across the Moselle, at the connection point where the TGV line crosses the main line between Metz and Nancy. TER Grand Est
TER Grand Est or TER Fluo is the regional rail network serving the region of Grand Est, northeastern France. It is operated by the French national railway company SNCF. It was formed in 2016 from the previous TER networks TER Alsace, TER Lorraine and TER Champagne-Ardenne, when the respective regions were merged. History On 1st January 2016, the three administrative regions of Alsace, Lorraine and Champagne-Ardenne merged. As a result, on 11 December 2016, TER Grand Est was created out of the three existing systems TER Alsace, TER Lorraine and TER Champagne-Ardenne, including TER 200 and TER Vallée de la Marne. Ouigo () is a French low-cost service range of both conventional and high-speed trains. The literal translation of ''Ouigo'' from French to English is "yes go;" the name is also a play on words with the English homonym "we go." It is composed of two different services: Ouigo Grande Vitesse, which is a brand of SNCF operating high-speed trains; and Ouigo Vitesse Classique, a brand under which Oslo, a subsidiary of SNCF, operates conventional speed trains.
