In mathematics, logarithmic growth describes a phenomenon whose size or cost can be described as a logarithm function of some input. e.g. ''y'' = ''C'' log (''x''). In computer science, binary search, also known as half-interval search, logarithmic search, or binary chop, is a search algorithm that finds the position of a target value within a sorted array. A martingale is a class of betting strategies that originated from and were popular in 18th-century France.
