Lodewijk Fluttert
Lodewijk Fluttert (born 8 October 1991), best known by his stage name Bakermat, is a Dutch DJ and music producer from Markelo, Overijssel. His music is characterized by a mix of electronic, deep and tropical house, techno music produced in a minimalist manner with jazz and soul influences. Career 2012–2013: ''Vandaag'' Fluttert started his musical career while studying psychology at Utrecht University and moonlighting as a DJ in his spare time. He released his first two EPs in 2012 titled "''Zomer"'' and "''Vandaag"''. The title track from the latter, consisting of an integrated sample of the "I Have a Dream" speech by Martin Luther King Jr., charted as a single in the Netherlands, Belgium and France in late 2012 and spring of 2013. Markelo
Markelo (; nds-nl, Maarkel) is a village in the Dutch province of Overijssel. It is located in the municipality of Hof van Twente, about west of Hengelo and south-west of Almelo. Markelo was a separate municipality between 1818 and 2001, when it became a part of Hof van Twente. Overview Markelo developed on the east flank of the . It was first mentioned in 1188 as Marclo, and means either "forest near communal ground" or "forest near border". The Dutch Reformed Church has a 15th century tower, but the building dates from 1840. Cédric Steinmyller (born 14 May 1990), better known by his stage name Klingande (, literally: ''chiming''), is a French DJ and tropical house producer with a prominent use of the piano and the saxophone. Sampling (music)
In sound and music, sampling is the reuse of a portion (or sample) of a sound recording in another recording. Samples may comprise elements such as rhythm, melody, speech, sounds or entire bars of music, and may be layered, equalized, sped up or slowed down, repitched, looped, or otherwise manipulated. They are usually integrated using hardware ( samplers) or software such as digital audio workstations. A process similar to sampling originated in the 1940s with '' musique concrète'', experimental music created by splicing and looping tape. The mid-20th century saw the introduction of keyboard instruments that played sounds recorded on tape, such as the Mellotron.
