''Live and Acoustic'' is a live album and the ninth overall album of the Filipino rock band, Rivermaya featuring Slapshock. This is a 2-disc album and has 22 tracks (13 audio tracks from Disc 1 and 9 music videos from Disc 2). The album has been released under Viva Records on January 28, 2003. This is the band's first live album filmed and recorded on May 18, 2002 from the "Double Trouble: Akoustik Rampage" concert at the Music Museum, Greenhills, San Juan. The bonus track "Basketbol" was performed at the Fort on December 8, 2001 to celebrate the 2nd Anniversary at Pulp Magazine also dubbed as "The Freakshow". Rivermaya is a Filipino alternative rock band. Formed in 1994, it is one of the several bands who spearheaded the 1990s Philippine alternative rock explosion. Rivermaya is currently composed of original members Mark Escueta and Nathan Azarcon, together with longest serving guitarist Mike Elgar. Japs Sergio
John Paul "Japs" Ricafranca Sergio (born August 20, 1979) is a former bassist/vocalist/guitarist/songwriter of the Filipino band Rivermaya and the current guitarist/vocalist/frontman for the band Peso Movement. Career Sergio joined the band in April 2001 as a session member when he took over the role of Nathan Azarcon, who left the band in February 2001. When Kakoy Legaspi and Mike Elgar joined in May 2001, Sergio was officially absorbed and the band began recording for "Tuloy ang Ligaya". Their first performance under their new lineup was at NU Pocket Concerts in Alabang Town Center on June 2, 2001. Known to many as Japs, Japsuki, and JP, is actually a drummer. Mike Elgar
Michael Maximino C. Elgar (born May 8, 1976) is a Filipino musician currently performing as a guitarist and one of the lead vocalists for the band Rivermaya. He has been the band's longest serving guitarist, ever since he joined in May 2001. Music career At the age of 10, he learned to play guitar. When he was 13 years old, he already formed a band and played his first gig and in 1992 (15 years old), he is already a national guitar champion. In 1999, he signed as a recording artist in the Jett Pangan Group and produce 1 Extended Play and 1 album before it was dissolved in 2001. Mark Escueta
Mark Edward Penabella Escueta (; born 9 January 1976) is a Filipino musician and one of the founding members of the Filipino rock band Rivermaya. Escueta has been the only constant member of Rivermaya since its inception in 1994. Early life Escueta is the eldest of four siblings. He has two younger brothers and one sister. Escueta finished high school at De La Salle Santiago Zobel School and took Business Administration major in Computer Applications at the De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde. His father is lawyer Eduardo U. Escueta, a retired official of the National Police Commission (NAPOLCOM). Escueta's family originally hails from Tiaong, Quezon.
