Rivermaya Albums
Rivermaya is a Filipino alternative rock band. Formed in 1994, it is one of the several bands who spearheaded the 1990s Philippine alternative rock explosion. Rivermaya is currently composed of original members Mark Escueta and Nathan Azarcon, together with longest serving guitarist Mike Elgar. Notable former original members include chief songwriter Rico Blanco and vocalist Bamboo Mañalac, who later formed the band Bamboo and later went on his solo career. Rivermaya is one of the top thirty best-selling artists in Philippine history. Nathan Azarcon
Nathan Peter Hachero Azarcon (born January 29, 1975) is a Filipino musician, nationalist, songwriter, and producer. He is currently the bassist, vocalist and one of the founding members of Filipino rock band Rivermaya. He was also a member of the rock bands Pinikpikan, Kapatid and a founding member of Bamboo and Hijo (where he is the lead vocalist). His complete body of work includes hits produced while he was a member of four different bands. In recognition of his work, he has been honored by NU Rock Awards; Katha Music Awards; MTV Pilipinas Music Awards; and the Awit Awards, which are presented and organized by the Philippine Association of the Record Industry (PARI). Kapatid (band)
Kapatid was a Filipino rock supergroup fronted by Karl Roy, the brother of Kevin Roy of Razorback. He was also the vocalist of bands Advent Call and P.O.T. The band was originally composed of Nathan Azarcon (of Rivermaya, Bamboo and Hijo) on bass, J-Hoon Balbuena (of Kjwan) on drums, Ira Cruz (of Passage, Bamboo and Hijo) on rhythm guitar and the late Chico Molina on lead guitar. The band was managed by Pam Lunar. They went on to release their first self-titled LP with hit songs "Prayer", "Pagbabalik ng Kwago", and "Visions" among others, in 2003. Japs Sergio
John Paul "Japs" Ricafranca Sergio (born August 20, 1979) is a former bassist/vocalist/guitarist/songwriter of the Filipino band Rivermaya and the current guitarist/vocalist/frontman for the band Peso Movement. Career Sergio joined the band in April 2001 as a session member when he took over the role of Nathan Azarcon, who left the band in February 2001. When Kakoy Legaspi and Mike Elgar joined in May 2001, Sergio was officially absorbed and the band began recording for "Tuloy ang Ligaya". Perfecto De Castro
Perfecto "Perf" de Castro (born August 14, 1974) is a Filipino musician currently based in Los Angeles, California best known for having been a celebrated fixture in the Philippine alternative rock scene during the 1990s. Francis Vincent "Vinci" R. Montaner (born November 27, 1976) is a Filipino singer best known for his work with the band Parokya ni Edgar where he served as a backup vocalist and one of its founding members.
