Liuzhou Metro
Liuzhou Rail Transit () is a monorail rapid transit, metro system currently under construction in Liuzhou, Guangxi, Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, China. Currently Lines 1 and 2 are under construction using monorails manufactured under a JV between Bombardier Transportation and CRRC. It is planned to consist of lines 1, 2, 3 and 4 and suburban lines S1, S2 and S3. History Construction of a light railroad had started in Liuzhou in 1928. The railroad opened on March 1, 1933 and had two branches (one via Dongda Road to the Liuzhou Brick Factory and another to the First Division of the National Revolutionary Army) and a total length of 8.3 km. The train used was a small trail that needed manpower to assist. The line was shut down in the early 1950s and the track was demolished. Liuzhou (; , IPA Pronunciation:) is a prefecture-level city in north-central Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, People's Republic of China. The prefecture's population was 3,758,700 in 2010, including 1,436,599 in the built-up area made of 4 urban districts. Its total area is and for the built up area. Geography Liuzhou is located on the banks of the winding Liu River, approximately from Nanning, the regional capital. By road, it is about to Guilin, to Hechi, to Nanning, to Fangchenggang, to Beihai. Swimming in the river is a tradition of the city. The river is normally green, but sometimes in summer, floods from the mountain areas upstream bring sediment which colors the water yellow. Pangu Station
Pangu (, ) is a primordial being and creation figure in Chinese mythology who separated heaven and earth and became geographic features such as mountains and rivers. Legends The first writer to record the myth of Pangu was Xu Zheng during the Three Kingdoms period. Recently his name was found in a tomb dated AD 156 (predating the Three Kingdoms period). In the beginning, there was nothing and the universe was in a featureless, formless primordial state. This primordial state coalesced into a cosmic egg for about 18,000 years. Within it, the perfectly opposed principles of yin and yang became balanced and Pangu emerged (or woke up) from the egg. Pangu inside the cosmic egg symbolizes Taiji. Pangu is usually depicted as a primitive, hairy giant who has horns on his head. CRRC Corporation Limited (known as CRRC) is a Chinese state-owned and publicly traded rolling stock manufacturer.
