Liszt Competition
The International Franz Liszt Piano Competition ("Liszt Competition") is an international piano competition. It is a member of the World Federation of International Music Competitions. The Competition is held in Utrecht in the Netherlands. It first took place in 1986, one hundred years after the death of Franz Liszt. Each time the Liszt Competition has been held it has seen over two hundred selected participants. Since 2014, only 14 contestants are selected after the International Selection Rounds hosted in USA, Asia and Europe. Mariangela Vacatello
Mariangela Vacatello (born January 22, 1982) is an Italian classical concert pianist from Naples. Early life Vacatello comes from a musical family: her mother, Pina, was a pianist and now is a piano teacher and her father, Antonio, is a piano tuner as well as a professor and musician. When Vacatello was four years old, she began attending the Yamaha Music Course. At age seven, she went on to study piano with Aldo Tramma, a pupil of the famous Italian pianist and pedagogue Vincenzo Vitale. She was subsequently admitted to the International Piano Academy "Incontri col Maestro" in Imola where she became a maestro in 2006 after studying under the guidance of Franco Scala and Piero Rattalino. She also studied at the Milan Conservatory with Riccardo Risaliti and Paolo Bordoni where in 1999 she obtained her piano degree with ''cum Laude Honourable mention''. Vitaly Pisarenko (Ukrainian : Віталій Писаренко; born 24 July 1987) is a Ukrainian pianist. He was the winner of the International Franz Liszt Piano Competition in 2008. Vitaly Pisarenko was born in Kiev, and performed for the first time in public when he was six years old. He studied in Kharkiv and Kyiv, and in 2005 entered the Professor Yuri Slesarev's class at the Moscow State Conservatory. He also studied at the Rotterdam Conservatory Codarts, under Aquiles Delle Vigne. Pisarenko has performed as a soloist in Russia, Italy, Macedonia, Austria, the Netherlands and Germany. Christiaan Kuyvenhoven
Christiaan Kuyvenhoven (born 1985) is a Dutch pianist. In April 2005 Kuyvenhoven won Third Prize at the prestigious International Franz Liszt Piano Competition, which took place in Utrecht for the seventh time. By winning the prize, Kuyvenhoven became the first Dutch pianist in sixteen years to win a prize at the competition. As part of the prize, Christiaan Kuyvenhoven had numerous appearances as a concert pianist, both in and outside the Netherlands. In April 2005, Salnikov won Second Prize and the CenE Bankiers Audience Award at the 7th International Franz Liszt Piano Competition in Utrecht.
