Mariangela Vacatello
Mariangela Vacatello (born January 22, 1982) is an Italian classical concert pianist from Naples. Early life Vacatello comes from a musical family: her mother, Pina, was a pianist and now is a piano teacher and her father, Antonio, is a piano tuner as well as a professor and musician. When Vacatello was four years old, she began attending the Yamaha Music Course. At age seven, she went on to study piano with Aldo Tramma, a pupil of the famous Italian pianist and pedagogue Vincenzo Vitale. She was subsequently admitted to the International Piano Academy "Incontri col Maestro" in Imola where she became a maestro in 2006 after studying under the guidance of Franco Scala and Piero Rattalino. She also studied at the Milan Conservatory with Riccardo Risaliti and Paolo Bordoni where in 1999 she obtained her piano degree with ''cum Laude Honourable mention''. Castellammare Di Stabia
Castellammare di Stabia (; nap, Castiellammare 'e Stabbia) is a ''comune'' in the Metropolitan City of Naples, Campania region, in southern Italy. It is situated on the Bay of Naples about southeast of Naples, on the route to Sorrento. History Castellammare di Stabia lies next to the ancient Roman city of Stabiae, which was destroyed by the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in AD 79. The castle, of the city it takes its name from, was erected around the 9th century on a hill commanding the southern side of the Gulf of Naples. It was restored during the reign of Frederick II of Hohenstaufen and enlarged by King Charles I of Anjou. The comune, previously called ''Castellamare'', assumed the name ''Castellammare'' on 22 January 1863, and the current name on 31 May 1912. The Zagreb Philharmonic Orchestra ( Croatian: ''Zagrebačka filharmonija'') is an orchestra based in Zagreb, Croatia. It was officially founded on the 30 November 1919. History The origins of the orchestra can be found in the opera ensemble of Zagreb's national theatre. In the 19th century, musical ensembles in Zagreb were mostly unorganized, until in 1870, Ivan Zajc established an ensemble for the national theatre. He organised and conducted a professional concert on the 25 February 1871, in Stanković's theatre (the present-day building of the Zagreb Assembly). The orchestra performed a Quodlibet, a style of composition where melodies and motifs from a range of pieces would be combined into a single performance. A symphony in 1916 marked a historical performance in Zagreb's musical history. Queen Elisabeth Music Competition
The Queen Elisabeth Competition ( nl, Koningin Elisabethwedstrijd, french: Concours musical international Reine Élisabeth) is an international competition for career-starting musicians held in Brussels. The competition is named after Queen Elisabeth of Belgium (1876–1965). It is a competition for classical violinists (from 1937 to present), pianists (1938 to present), singers (1988 to present) and cellists (2017 to present). It also used to hold international competitions for composers from 1953 to 2012. The current Patron is Queen Mathilde of Belgium.
