MSG Sphere London
The MSG Sphere London is a proposed music and entertainment venue to be built in the Stratford area of London, England. History The MSG Sphere London is a building project of United States-based The Madison Square Garden Company, and financed by former Cablevision owner Charles Dolan and his son, James L. Dolan. If approved, it will be identical to the MSG Sphere in Las Vegas, which is also backed by James Dolan, with an expected completion date in 2023. Both buildings have been designed by the architectural firm Populous. Proposed features The MSG Sphere would be equipped with a 19,000 x 13,500 pixel resolution LED screen which will spread across the interior of the venue. All 17,500 seats will have high speed internet access and the sound system uses a technology called beam forming to provide targeted, spatialized sound that is consistent in volume and quality across all seats. The Republic of Kugelmugel is a micronation located at the Prater in Vienna, Austria. The Republic declared independence in 1975, after disputes between artist Edwin Lipburger and Austrian authorities over building permits for a ball-shaped house which he erected at the Landesstraße 4091 in Katzelsdorf, Lower Austria in 1971. In 1979, Lipburger was arrested and sent to jail for ten weeks. In June 1982, the house was moved into the Prater park, near the Hauptallee, and enclosed by eight-foot-tall barbed-wire fences. The house has the only address within the proclaimed Republic, that being "2., Antifaschismusplatz" (" 2nd district of Vienna; Anti-Fascism Square"), which has since been officially adopted by the city of Vienna. Lipburger died in January 2015, but the Republic officially holds a population of over 650 non-resident citizens. Nagoya City Science Museum
The is a museum located in Sakae, Nagoya, the center of Nagoya City, in central Japan. The museum houses one of the largest planetarium in the world and has three main sections on modern technology, life sciences and general science with a variety of hands-on exhibits. In 2012 much of the museum was renovated to coincide with the opening of the Planetarium. The upper floor of the museum is currently devoted to a display about space and future technology, utilizing touch-screen tablets and other technology. La Géode
La Géode is a mirror-finished geodesic dome that holds an Omnimax theatre in Parc de la Villette at the Cité des Sciences et de l'Industrie (City of Science and Industry) in the 19th arrondissement of Paris, France. The nearest Paris Métro stations to La Géode are Corentin Cariou on Line 7 and Porte de Pantin on Line 5. Structure La Géode was designed by architect Adrien Fainsilber and engineer Gérard Chamayou. The geodesic dome is in diameter, composed of 6,433 polished stainless steel triangles that form the sphere that reflects the sky. These triangles are 1.5 meters long and are fixed on a thin metal frame with the same triangular geodesic structure, consisting of 2,580 steel tube bars.
