The ''YuYu Hakusho'' manga was written and drawn by Yoshihiro Togashi and was published by Shueisha in the Japanese-language magazine ''Weekly ShÅnen Jump''. The series concentrates on the adventures of young delinquent Yusuke Urameshi, who after his death becomes a Spirit Detective, the protector of the Living World against supernatural threats. The manga consists of 19 ''tankÅbon''; the first ''tankÅbon'' was released on April 10, 1991, and the last one was released on December 2, 1994. An anime adaptation of the series of 112 television episodes was directed by Noriyuki Abe and co-produced by Fuji Television, Yomiko Advertising, and Studio Pierrot. In August 2004, Shueisha released a '' kanzenban'' edition. Each ''kanzenban'' volume features a new cover. YuYu Hakusho
is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Yoshihiro Togashi. The series tells the story of List of YuYu Hakusho characters#Yusuke Urameshi, Yusuke Urameshi, a Juvenile delinquency, teenage delinquent who is struck and killed by a car while attempting to save a child's life. After a number of tests presented to him by List of YuYu Hakusho characters#Koenma, Koenma, the son of the ruler of the afterlife Underworld, Yusuke is revived and appointed the title of "Underworld Detective", with which he must investigate various cases involving demons and Ghost, apparitions in the Human World. Yoshihiro Togashi
is a Japanese manga artist. He began drawing manga at an early age, before being recognized for his talent by publishing company Shueisha while attending college. Togashi has authored several manga series in different genres during the past three decades. He is perhaps best known for writing and illustrating the ''YuYu Hakusho'' (1990–1994) and ''Hunter × Hunter'' (1998–present) series, both of which are some of the best-selling manga in history. is a weekly ''shÅnen'' manga anthology published in Japan by Shueisha under the ''Jump'' line of magazines. The manga series within the magazine consist of many action scenes and a fair amount of comedy. Yusuke Urameshi
The ''YuYu Hakusho'' manga series features a diverse cast of fictional characters created by Yoshihiro Togashi. It follows fourteen-year-old junior high school delinquent Yusuke Urameshi, who dies and is resurrected in order to become the Underworld's detective of paranormal events in the Human World. Yusuke begins his work in the Human World, but ends up traveling to the Underworld and then eventually to the Demon Plane. In each case he undertakes, Yusuke meets several new enemies and allies. Other predominant characters include Yusuke's rival delinquent Kazuma Kuwabara, the fox demon Kurama, and the sword-wielding fire demon Hiei.
