Nova Southeastern University
Nova Southeastern University (NSU or, informally, Nova) is a private nonprofit research university with its main campus in Davie, Florida. The university consists of 14 total colleges, centers, and schools offering over 150 programs of study. The university offers professional degrees in the social sciences, law, business, osteopathic medicine, allopathic medicine, allied health, pharmacy, dentistry, optometry, physical therapy, education, occupational therapy, and nursing. As of 2019, 20,576 students were enrolled at Nova Southeastern University, with more than 170,000 alumni. Parkland is a suburban city, 42 miles northwest of Miami, in northern Broward County, Florida, United States. As of the 2020 census, the population of Parkland was 34,670. Helen Rose Dawson
Helen Rose Dawson (December 16, 1927 – July 14, 2022) was an American religious sister, college professor and college dean. From 1965 to 1999, she was academic dean and vice president of Villa Julie College, now Stevenson University. Early life Dawson was born in Washington, D.C., and raised on a farm in Rockville, Maryland, one of the five daughters of Lawrence Dawson and Helen Jenkins Dawson. She attended St. Martin's Parochial School in Gaithersburg, and graduated from Notre Dame High School in Media, Pennsylvania in 1945. While she was a religious sister, she earned a bachelor's degree from Trinity Washington University, a master's degree from Fordham University and a doctorate in education from Nova Southeastern University in Florida. Laney College is a Public college, public community college in Oakland, California. Laney is the largest of the four colleges of the Peralta Community College District which serves northern Alameda County, California, Alameda County. Laney College is named after Joseph Clarence Laney. The college offers both certificates and credits for Associate of Arts degree, as well as prerequisites to transfer to four year universities. Carole Ward Allen is an American politician, professor, and political consultant. She is a member of the Democratic Party, and serves as the chief executive officer of CWA Partners, LLC. As a mass transportation executive in the State of California, Ward Allen served three four-year terms as an elected member of the San Francisco Bay Area Rapid Transit District Board of Directors representing the 4th district from 1998 until 2010. During the 1980s and early 1990s, she was often featured in ''Jet Magazine'' for making history in state and local politics. Before entering the transportation industry, Ward Allen was appointed to serve on the California Commission on the Status of Women by 34th Governor of California Jerry Brown in 1980. Pineville is a city in Rapides Parish, Louisiana, United States. It is located across the Red River from the larger Alexandria. Coconut Creek is a city in Broward County, Florida, United States. Situated north of Miami, it had a population of 57,833 in 2020. Waldman (born March 21, 1958) is a Democratic politician who served as a member of the Florida House of Representatives from 2006 to 2014, representing the 95th District from 2006 to 2012, and representing the 96th District, which included Coconut Creek, Margate, and Parkland in northeastern Broward County, from 2012 to 2014.
