Sweden had won two international pageants a total of three times as of 2010. * ''Miss Sweden for Miss World'' used to be a handpicked delegate at the Miss Sweden pageant (in Swedish: ''Fröken Sverige''). Sponsors were '' VeckoRevyn'', female magazine that today operates in 21 countries worldwide. The title was dropped after a feminist wave throughout the Swedish nation and inside the magazine network itself during the 1990s. Miss World 1977, the 27th edition of the Miss World pageant, was held on 17 November 1977 at the Royal Albert Hall in London, UK. The winner was Mary Ann-Catrin Stävin from Sweden. She was crowned by Miss World 1976, Cindy Breakspeare of Jamaica. Runner-up was Ineke Berends representing Holland, third was Dagmar Gabriele Winkler from Germany, fourth was Madalena Sbaraini of Brazil, and fifth was Cindy Darlene Miller from United States. Ingrid Goude (born May 26, 1937) is a Swedish actress and model. She became an actress in B-movie and sci-fi motion pictures of the late 1950s and early 1960s. Her parents were Mr. and Mrs. Edward K. Goude. Her father was the manager of a steel plant in Sandviken. Her mother's name was Valdy. Film contract Goude won the 1956 Miss Sweden beauty pageant. As second runner-up in the 1956 Miss Universe, and 1st runner-up in Miss Europe contests, Goude signed a Universal Pictures film contract on July 25, 1956. The studio also offered contracts to the 1956 Miss Universe, Carol Morris, and Marina Orschel of Germany, the 1st runner-up. Universal picked up her option during Christmas 1956 and requested that she report back to the studio on January 8. Hillevi Rombin Schine (September 14, 1933 – June 19, 1996) was a Swedish actress and beauty queen who was crowned as Miss Sweden and is the fourth winner of Miss Universe in 1955. She was crowned Miss Sweden Universe 1955 by Miss Sweden Universe 1954, Ragnhild Olausson. In 1996, she became the first Miss Universe title holder to die. Miss World 2021 was the 70th edition of the Miss World pageant, held at the Coca-Cola Music Hall in San Juan, Puerto Rico on 16 March 2022. The coronation was originally scheduled to be held on 16 December 2021 at the José Miguel Agrelot Coliseum. However, the pageant was rescheduled to 16 March 2022 due to the COVID-19 outbreak in Puerto Rico. Miss World 2003 was the 53rd edition of the Miss World pageant, held at the Crown of Beauty Theatre in Sanya, China on 6 December 2003. Miss World 2002, the 52nd edition of the Miss World pageant, was held on 7 December 2002 at the Alexandra Palace in London, United Kingdom. It was initially intended to be staged in Abuja, but due to religious riots in the nearby city of Kaduna (the "Miss World riots") the pageant was relocated to London. A total of 110 contestants from all over the world were initially invited to compete for the crown, but several contestants boycotted the pageant and others dropping out in protest for the death sentence by stoning determined by an Islamic Sharia court to Amina Lawal, a Nigerian woman accused of adultery, making a total of 88 girls competing for the crown.
