Louis François Georges Baby, (August 26, 1832 – May 13, 1906) was a Canadian politician and judge. Born in Montreal, Lower Canada, he first ran for public office in the 1867 federal election in the Quebec riding of Joliette but lost to François Benjamin Godin. A Conservative, he was acclaimed in the 1872 elections. However he was unseated on petition on June 11, 1874. He was re-elected in the resulting 1874 by-election and re-elected in 1878. Hubert Badanai (January 11, 1895 – September 19, 1986), born Umberto Badanai; was a Canadian automobile dealer and politician. He was the first Italian born member of Canadian Federal Parliament. Born in Azzano Decimo, Friuli-Venezia Giulia (north-eastern Italy), to a Jewish-Italian Father and Italian Mother. He moved to Canada when he was 18 and worked at a brickyard in Rosslyn. He later opened a successful car dealership and became an alderman in Fort William, Ontario for 9 years and mayor for 8 years. James William Bain (June 22, 1838 – October 27, 1909) was a Canadian politician and merchant. He was elected to the House of Commons of Canada in 1883 as a Member of the historical Conservative Party in the riding of Soulanges after Georges-Raoul-Léotale-Guichart-Humbert Saveuse de Beaujeu was unseated in a by-election. That election was later declared void on January 15, 1884, however, in a by-election held February 5, 1885, he was acclaimed to Soulanges. Roy Hardeman Bailey (December 16, 1928 – December 13, 2018) was a Canadian politician. Formerly a member of the Social Credit Party of Saskatchewan, Bailey joined the Progressive Conservative Party of Saskatchewan when the Social Credit and PC parties merged under the PC name in 1971. Bailey ran for the leadership of the Saskatchewan PC Party in 1973, placing second to Dick Collver. Lawrence Bagnell (born December 19, 1949) is a former Canadian politician who served as the Member of Parliament (MP) for the riding of Yukon from 2000 to 2011 and again from 2015 to 2021. He served as a member of the Liberal Party of Canada. Early life Bagnell was born in Toronto, Ontario.
