List Of Fungi By Conservation Status
, the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) has evaluated the conservation status of 280 fungus species. Previously in the 2017-3 release, the IUCN evaluated the conservation status of 56 fungus species. One subspecies, that of ''Pleurotus nebrodensis'', also was evaluated but has since been removed. At the time no subpopulations were evaluated. , the New Zealand Threat Classification System listed 1512 species and 39 subspecies of fungi, with 65 species considered Threatened. Species of Hypocreaceae are usually recognized by their brightly colored, perithecial Ascocarp, ascomata, typically yellow, orange or red. The family was proposed by Giuseppe De Notaris in 1844. According to the ''Dictionary of the Fungi'' (10th edition, 2008), the family has 22 genera and 454 species. Hypocreales
The Hypocreales are an order of fungi within the class Sordariomycetes. In 2008, it was estimated that it contained some 237 genera, and 2647 species in seven families. Since then, a considerable number of further taxa have been identified, including an additional family, the Stachybotryaceae. According to the Catalog of Life, the Hypocreales contains 6 families, 137 genera, and 1411 species. Species of Hypocreales are usually recognized by their brightly colored, perithecial ascomata, or spore-producing structures. These are often yellow, orange or red. Genera ''incertae sedis'' According to a 2020 review of fungal classification, the following genera within the Hypocreales have an uncertain taxonomic placement (''incertae sedis''), and have not been assigned to any family: *'' Acremoniopsis'' – 1 sp. *'' Berkelella'' – 2 spp. *'' Bulbithecium'' – 1 sp. *'' Cephalosporiopsis'' – 10 spp. *'' Chondronectria'' – 1 sp. *'' Cylindronectria'' – 1 sp. *'' Diploos ...

Sordariomycetes
Sordariomycetes is a class of fungi in the subdivision Pezizomycotina (Ascomycota), consisting of 28 orders, 90 families, 1344 genera. Sordariomycetes is from the Latin sordes (filth) because some species grow in animal feces, though growth habits vary widely across the class. Sordariomycetes generally produce their asci in perithecial fruiting bodies. Sordariomycetes are also known as Pyrenomycetes, from the Greek πυρἠν - 'the stone of a fruit' - because of the usually somewhat tough texture of their tissue. Sordariomycetes possess great variability in morphology, growth form, and habitat. Most have perithecial (flask-shaped) fruiting bodies, but ascomata can be less frequently cleistothecial (like in the genera '' Anixiella'', ''Apodus'', '' Boothiella'', ''Thielavia'', '' Zopfiella''),. Fruiting bodies may be solitary or gregarious, superficial, or immersed within stromata or tissues of the substrates and can be light to bright or black. Members of this group can grow ...

Hypocreopsis Amplectens
''Hypocreopsis amplectens'' is part of the family Hypocreaceae and genus ''Hypocreopsis'', fungi that form stromata on the stems of trees and shrubs. The stromata are orange-brown and consist of radiating, perithecial lobes. This species of ''Hypocreopsis'' was only discovered in 1992 in Nyora (Victoria) during a survey of vascular plants.Johnston, P.R., May, T.W., Park, D. and Horak, E. (2007) ''Hypocreopsis amplectens'' sp. nov., a rare fungus from New Zealand and Australia. ''New Zealand Journal of Botany'', 45, 715–719. Description Found on dead and living branches of tea-tree, paperbark and banksia in long-unburnt coastal stands in Victoria, this firm-textured, brown, irregularly shaped species forms a raised mass which clasps dead branches with light brown, finger-like lobes. Most commonly dead branches of prickly tea-tree (''Leptospermum continentale''), silky tea-tree (''L. myrsinoides''), silver banksia (''Banksia marginata'') and more recently on Yarra Burgan ''(Kunz ...

Peltigerales
Peltigerales is an order of lichen-forming fungi belonging to the class Lecanoromycetes in the division Ascomycota. The taxonomy of the group has seen numerous changes; it was formerly often treated as a suborder of the order Lecanorales. It contains two suborders, eight families and about 45 genera such as ''Lobaria'' and ''Peltigera''. The fungi form lichens in a symbiotic relationship with one or two photosynthetic partners which may be a cyanobacterium such as ''Nostoc'' or a green alga such as '' Coccomyxa''. The majority of species contain just a cyanobacterium, a smaller number have both a cyanobacterium and a green alga while only a few species have just a green alga. The thallus of the lichen may be foliose (leafy), subfruticose (somewhat shrubby) or granular-squamulose (scaly). The thallus attaches to a surface by means of small root-like rhizines. In some species, the thallus may vary in appearance depending on whether it contains a cyanobacterium or a green alga. Some ...

Erioderma Pedicellatum
''Erioderma pedicellatum'' is a medium-sized, foliose lichen in the family Pannariaceae, commonly called the boreal felt lichen. It grows on trees in damp boreal forests along the Atlantic coast in Canada, as well as in southcentral Alaska and in the Kamchatka Peninsula.Nelson, P, J Walton and C Roland. 2009. ''Erioderma pedicellatum'' (Hue) P.M.Jorg, new to the United States and western North America, discovered in Denali National Park and Preserve and Denali State Park, Alaska. Evansia 26: 19 – 23. Description ''Erioderma pedicellatum'' is a foliose cyanolichen with lobes 2–5 cm across, and occasionally reaching 12 cm in diameter. It has a distinctively fuzzy upper surface that is greyish-brown when dry, and slate-blue when moist. Its underside is white, and its edges usually curl upwards, giving it the appearance of having a white fringe. It differs from the two other North American species of '' Erioderma'' by lacking soredia, and by having small, reddish ...
