Fethi Okyar
Ali Fethi Okyar (29 April 1880 – 7 May 1943) was a Turkish diplomat and politician, who also served as a military officer and diplomat during the last decade of the Ottoman Empire. He was also the second Prime Minister of Turkey (1924–1925) and the second Speaker of the Turkish Parliament after Mustafa Kemal Atatürk. Biography He was born in the Ottoman town of Prilep in Manastir Vilayet (present-day North Macedonia) to an Albanian family. In 1913, he joined the Committee of Union and Progress (İttihat ve Terakki Cemiyeti) and was elected as the secretary general. In 1924 he was appointed Prime Minister as the successor of İsmet İnönü. Ekrem Alican (1916, Adapazarı-June 18, 2000 İstanbul) was a Turkish politician, government minister and party leader. Early years He was born in 1916 in Adapazarı to Yusuf Efendi, a third generation Circassian immigrant from Caucasus, and Emine Hanım. He had two elder brothers, Fuat and İsmail Hakkı. After finishing the junior high school in Adapazarı in 1930, he enrolled at Şişli Terakki High School in Nişantaşı, Istanbul as a boarding student. In 1934, Ekrem Alican graduated from the high school, and entered the higher education institute named ( ota, Mekteb-i Mülkiye), where he studied Finance. Hasan Polatkan (1915 – 16 September 1961) was a Turkish politician and Minister of Labor and Finance, who was executed by hanging after the coup d'état in 1960 along with two other cabinet members. Ali Fuat Ağralı (1877–1957) was a former Turkish politician. Early years He was born in 1877 in Agra village of the Greek island Lesbos, then a part of the Ottoman Empire (whence he later adopted his surname, Ağralı, "of Agra"). He graduated from the Faculty of Political Sciences in 1903 and the Faculty of Law in 1908 both in İstanbul.
