Slatina, Croatia
Slatina is a town in the Slavonia region of Croatia. It is located in the Virovitica-Podravina County, at the contact of the Drava valley and the foothills of Papuk mountain, in the central part of the region of Podravina, southeast of Virovitica; elevation . It was ruled by Ottoman Empire between 1542 and 1687, when it was captured by Austrian troops. During Ottoman rule it was initially part of Sanjak of Pojega between 1542 and 1601, latterly part of Sanjak of Orahovica, Rahoviçe between 1601 and 1687. It was district centre at Virovitica County in Kingdom of Croatia-Slavonia between 1868 and 1918. "Slatina" means "salt lake" in Croatian. However, there is no salt lake there any more. Samobor
Samobor () is a city in Zagreb County, Croatia. It is part of the Zagreb metropolitan area. Administratively it is a part of Zagreb County. Geography Samobor is located west of Zagreb, between the eastern slopes of the Samobor hills ( hr, Samoborsko gorje), the eastern part of Žumberak Mountains, in the Sava River valley. It is part of the historical region of Croatia proper. Administration The city government, court, police, health service, and a post office are part of the Samobor infrastructure. History Samobor has existed as a free royal town since 1242, according to a document of endowment by King Béla IV. Privredna Banka Zagreb
Privredna banka Zagreb or PBZ is the second largest bank in Croatia (after Zagrebačka banka), owned by Intesa Sanpaolo group of Italy. It is listed on the Zagreb Stock Exchange and is one of 24 companies included in the CROBEX share index. PBZ was established in 1966 on the basis and the banking tradition of The First Croatian Savings Bank, itself established in 1846 in Zagreb by the members of the Farming Association of Croatia and Slavonia. It began its transformation into a publicly traded company in the 1990s, and it was privatised in December 1999 when Banca Commerciale Italiana (BCI) acquired a 66.3 percent stake in it, with the Government of Croatia reducing its stake to 25 percent. In 2000 BCI merged with Banca Intesa and in January 2007 this bank merged again with Sanpaolo IMI to form the Intesa Sanpaolo group, which currently includes PBZ. Koprivnica () is a city in Northern Croatia, located 70 kilometers northeast of Zagreb. It is the capital and the largest city of the Koprivnica-Križevci county. Podravska Banka
The Drava Statistical Region ( sl, Podravska statistična regija) is a statistical region in Slovenia. The largest city in the region is Maribor. The region's name comes from the Drava River and includes land on both banks along its course through Slovenia as well as the Pohorje mountains in the northeast of the region. The Drava is used for the production of hydroelectricity and the fertile land around it is used for agriculture. The share of job vacancies in all available jobs is among the highest in Slovenia and the region has a positive net migration rate but a very high natural decrease, which means an overall decrease in the population.
