Album
An album is a collection of audio recordings issued on compact disc (CD), Phonograph record, vinyl, audio tape, or another medium such as Digital distribution#Music, digital distribution. Albums of recorded sound were developed in the early 20th century as individual Phonograph record#78 rpm disc developments, 78 rpm records collected in a bound book resembling a photograph album; this format evolved after 1948 into single vinyl LP record, long-playing (LP) records played at revolutions per minute, rpm. The album was the dominant form of recorded music expression and consumption from the mid-1960s to the early 21st century, a period known as the album era. Baroque Pop
Baroque pop (sometimes called baroque rock) is a fusion genre that combines rock music with particular elements of classical music. It emerged in the mid 1960s as artists pursued a majestic, orchestral sound and is identifiable for its appropriation of Baroque compositional styles (contrapuntal melodies and functional harmony patterns) and dramatic or melancholic gestures. Harpsichords figure prominently, while oboes, French horns, and string quartets are also common. Although harpsichords had been deployed for a number of pop hits since the 1940s, starting in the 1960s, some record producers increasingly placed the instrument in the foreground of their arrangements. Inspired partly by the Beatles' song "In My Life" (1965), various groups were incorporating baroque and classical instrumentation by early 1966. Last Night In The Bittersweet
''Last Night in the Bittersweet'' is the fourth studio album by Scottish singer-songwriter Paolo Nutini, released on 1 July 2022 by Atlantic Records. Two songs from the album, "Through the Echoes" and "Lose It", were jointly released on 11 May 2022. ''Last Night in the Bittersweet'' is Nutini's first release in eight years, following his third studio album, ''Caustic Love'' (2014). Critical reception ''Last Night in Bittersweet'' received a score of 87 out of 100 on review aggregator Metacritic from four critics' reviews, indicating "universal acclaim". Writing in ''Mojo'', John Aizelwood gave this release 4 out of 5 stars, calling it "worth wallowing in". Commercial performance The album debuted at number one on the UK Albums Chart dated 8 July 2022, and by midweek, was outselling the album at number two by a ratio of 4:1. Paolo Giovanni Nutini (born 9 January 1987) is a Scottish singer, songwriter and musician from Paisley, Renfrewshire, Paisley. Nutini's debut album, ''These Streets'' (2006), peaked at number three on the UK Albums Chart. Its follow-up, ''Sunny Side Up (Paolo Nutini album), Sunny Side Up'' (2009), debuted at number one on the UK Albums Chart. Both albums have been Music recording sales certification, certified quintuple platinum by the British Phonographic Industry. Five years later, Nutini released his third studio album, ''Caustic Love'', in April 2014. The album received positive reviews from music critics. Nuclear Blast is a record label and mail order record distributor with subsidiaries in Germany, the United States and Brazil. The label was founded in 1987 by Markus Staiger in Germany. Municipal Waste (band)
Municipal Waste is an American crossover thrash band from Richmond, Virginia, formed in 2001. To date, the band has released seven studio albums, three EPs and four splits. They have gone through a few line-up changes, leaving vocalist Tony Foresta and rhythm guitarist Ryan Waste as the only constant members. In addition to Foresta and Waste, their current lineup includes Philip "Land Phil" Hall on bass, Dave Witte on drums and Nick "Nikropolis" Poulos on lead guitar. Anti- is an American record label founded in 1999 as a sister label to Epitaph Records. Moor Mother
Camae Ayewa, better known by her stage name Moor Mother, is an American poet, musician, and activist from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She is one half of the collective Black Quantum Futurism, along with Rasheedah Phillips, and co-leads the groups Irreversible Entanglements and 700 Bliss. Early life and career Ayewa was born in Aberdeen, Maryland, where she grew up in a public housing project. She moved to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to study photography at the Art Institute. In 2016, Moor Mother released a studio album, '' Fetish Bones'', on Don Giovanni Records. The album, which was released alongside a 122-page book of poetry, was included on year-end lists by ''Pitchfork'', ''Rolling Stone'', and ''The Wire''. Momma is an American indie rock band from Los Angeles, California. History Momma consists of Etta Friedman and Allegra Weingarten, who have been friends with each other since meeting at Viewpoint School, as well as drummer Zach Capitti Fenton. Momma released their first album in 2018 through Danger Collective Records, titled ''Interloper''.
