Lisebergshallen
Lisebergshallen was a multi-purpose venue in Gothenburg, Sweden. It was located at the entrance of the amusement park Liseberg. It was built in 1980 and was used as entertainment centre for sports competitions, charity events and concerts. In 2019, it was demolished. Samskolan uses the venue regularly every year at Christmas for their annual "Folkdans". Handball team Redbergslids IK used Lisebergshallen as home arena. The venue has hosted concerts for rock bands like Slayer, Alice Cooper, Europe, Joe Bonamassa, Manowar, Jethro Tull, In Flames, HammerFall, Kent, Motörhead, Nightwish, Helloween, Hardcore Superstar and Bullet for My Valentine. Melodifestivalen 1982, 1984 and 1987 was also held there. Liseberg
Liseberg is an amusement park located in Gothenburg, Sweden, that opened in 1923. It is one of the most visited amusement parks in Scandinavia, attracting about three million visitors annually. Among the noteworthy attractions is the wooden roller coaster Balder, twice (2003 and 2005) voted as the ''Best Wooden Tracked Roller Coaster'' in the world in a major international poll. The park itself has also been chosen as one of the top ten amusement parks in the world (2005) by ''Forbes'' magazine. In addition to the summer season, the park is also open during October to December, albeit with fewer rides operating, hosting a Halloween season with various houses of horrors and a Christmas market, with traditional Swedish cuisine such as mulled wine and specialties such as döner kebab made from reindeer meat. Sweden selected an entry for the Eurovision Song Contest 1987 by holding a preselection show named ''Melodifestivalen 1987''. Out of 1,502 submitted songs and 12 songs in the final, the entry "Fyra Bugg och en Coca-Cola" was chosen. It was performed by Lotta Engberg, and written/composed by Christer Lundh and Mikael Wendt. Before Eurovision Melodifestivalen 1987 Melodifestivalen 1987 was the selection for the 27th song to represent Sweden at the Eurovision Song Contest. It was the 26th time that this system of picking a song had been used. 1502 songs were submitted to SVT for the competition. The winner was the three brothers Herrey, consisting of Richard, Louis and Per. Their song was called "Diggi-Loo Diggi-Ley", and was written by Britt Lindeborg and Torgny Söderberg. Before Eurovision Melodifestivalen 1984 Melodifestivalen 1984 was the selection for the 24th song to represent Sweden at the Eurovision Song Contest. Nightwish is a Finnish symphonic metal band from Kitee.
