Linda Itunu
Linda Itunu (born 21 November 1984) is a New Zealand rugby union player. She plays for the Black Ferns, New Zealand women's sevens and Auckland. Itunu attended Kelston Girls' College in Auckland. She was a member of three successful Rugby World Cup campaigns in 2006, 2010 and 2017. She was also part of the 2013 Rugby World Cup Sevens Squad that won gold. She had won silver at the previous Sevens World Cup in Dubai. Itunu was named in the squad to the 2014 Rugby World Cup in France. In 2015 she was included in the Black Ferns squad alongside her sister Aldora Itunu to play in the 2015 Women's Rugby Super Series in Canada. After Retiring in 2018 from international rugby Itunu captained the Barbarians Women's team in 2019 for matches in Denver, Colorado against USA and England Rose in London, England. Flanker (rugby Union)
Flanker is a position in the sport of rugby union. Each team of 15 players includes two flankers, who play in the Forwards (rugby union), forwards, and are generally classified as either List of rugby union terms#B, blindside or List of rugby union terms#O, openside flankers, numbers 6 and 7 respectively. The name comes from their position in a Scrum (rugby union), scrum in which they 'flank' each set of forwards. They compete for the ball – most commonly in Playing rugby union#Ruck, rucks and Playing rugby union#Maul, mauls. Flankers also assist in pushing in a scrum, but are expected to detach from the scrum as soon as the ball is out to get to the play before the opposition's forwards. The New Zealand women's national rugby sevens team represents New Zealand in the World Rugby Sevens Series, Rugby World Cup Sevens, Summer Olympic Games and the Commonwealth Games. The team has participated in all rounds of the World Rugby Women's Sevens Series since the competition's inception in 2012–13. New Zealand competed at the 2009 Rugby World Cup Sevens in Dubai. The USA Women's National Team XVs is the senior national team for the United States in the 15-a-side version of rugby. The team was officially formed in 1987 and is nicknamed the Eagles. 2014 Women's Rugby World Cup
The 2014 Women's Rugby World Cup was the seventh edition of the Women's Rugby World Cup, and the sixth held in Europe. The World Cup Final took place on 17 August. All of the pool games for the World Cup took place at the Centre National du Rugby (CNR) in Marcoussis and Marcoussis Rugby Club with the French union adopting the concept of restricting the tournament to one or two locations as in the 2010 Women's Rugby World Cup in London. Marcoussis is about 20 miles south of Paris. The knockout stages of the tournament also saw matches played at the CNR in Marcoussis, with the semi-finals, Bronze Final and Final taking place at Stade Jean-Bouin in the French capital – home of Stade Français.
