Letenye (, sl, Letina) is a town in Zala County, Hungary, on the border with Croatia. Across the border is the town of Goričan. Letenye was elevated to town status in 1989. Letenye District
Letenye ( hu, Letenyei járás) is a district in south-western part of Zala County. ''Letenye'' is also the name of the town where the district seat is found. The district is located in the Western Transdanubia Statistical Region. Geography Letenye District borders with Lenti District to the northwest, Zalaegerszeg District to the north, Nagykanizsa District to the east, the Croatian county of Međimurje and Slovenia to the southwest. The number of inhabited places in Letenye District is 27. The seat of the Letenye district was Letenye since the first designation of the permanent district seats (1886). M7 Motorway (Hungary)
The M7 motorway ( hu, M7-es autópálya) is a Hungarian motorway which runs from Budapest towards the Croatian border at Letenye, reaching Székesfehérvár, then Siófok, a town on Lake Balaton, and the city of Nagykanizsa in the southwest of the country. The motorway connects with the Croatian motorway A4 at Goričan and forms part of the Pan-European corridor Vb, connecting Budapest with Zagreb, the capital of Croatia, and Rijeka, the largest Croatian seaport. Since the completion of the M7 it is possible to travel on motorway from Budapest to the Adriatic Sea, a popular tourist destination for Hungarians. The last portion of the motorway to the Croatian border, including the Zrinski Bridge on the river Mura, was completed on 22 October 2008. The road's first sections were built in the 1960s and 1970s. M70 Expressway (Hungary)
The M70 motorway ( hu, M70-es autópálya) is a motorway in Hungary, connecting the M7 motorway to the A5 motorway in Slovenia. The road is 21 km long and has a speed limit of 130 km/h. The last section was completed in 2006. After the opening of the last missing sections of the M7 on August 19, 2008, there is a direct motorway link from Budapest to Slovenia. The expressway originally consisted of two lanes between Letenye and Tornyiszentmiklós interchanges. The A4 motorway ( hr, Autocesta A4) is a motorway in Croatia spanning . It connects the nation's capital, Zagreb, to the city of Varaždin and to Budapest, Hungary via the Goričan border crossing. The motorway represents a major north–south transportation corridor in Croatia and is a part of European routes E65 and E71. The A4 motorway route also follows Pan-European corridor Vb. Goričan
Goričan ( hu, Muracsány) is a municipalities of Croatia, municipality in Međimurje County, Croatia. Goričan is the only village belonging to the municipality. Its population in the 2011 census was 2,823. Of the entire population, 2,763 people identified themselves as Croats. Goričan is located in the eastern part of Međimurje County, near the Croatian-Hungary, Hungarian border and the Mur River, Mura. Feró Nagy
Ferenc "Feró" Nagy (born 14 January 1946 in Letenye, Hungary) is a Hungary, Hungarian rock singer and musician. Although not proficient on any instrument, he can play the guitar, the harmonica, the saxophone and the piano. Career Feró studied at the Polytechnic and earned a degree in engineering. He began singing in rock bands as a hobby in the 1960s. He became famous as the singer, frontman and songwriter of the band Beatrice (band), Beatrice in the late 1970s. He created a "phenomenon" with his stage style, doing long comical and/or aggressive monologues and performances calling himself "A Nemzet csótánya" (translated as roach of the nation") and being an outspoken anti-Socialist. After leaving Beatrice, he formed another band called Bikini (Hungarian band), Bikini in 1982, then returned to Beatrice in 1987 to date.
